A schoolgirl was left stunned after spotted a strange ‘dancing’ light in the sky – but managed to capture the intriguing sight on camera.

11-year-old Katie Real and her sister Macie were playing with their mum Fiona’s laptop on Saturday when they spotted what looked like a ball of light dancing above a house outside, and quickly started filming.

‘I was looking out of my window and a large glowing ball of light caught my eye,’ said Katie.

‘It was moving very fast. I just grabbed my computer and started filming it.’

I thought maybe a kite at first but looking more at it I'm not convinced it is a kite, that video you showed that kind of pyrotechnics would be very expensive to do. This is in the middle of a dreary day in England in a rural area.

Like most fireworks they only last for a min max.

Very obvious kite.

It sure LOOKS like a Mylar kite. It appears to act like a kite, too.

OK I have just been doing some search on fire kites or kites on fire and there is nothing like the video.
The video that gortex showed is a very expensive piece of pyrotechnics done by professionals.

I wrote in Youtube Kite On Fire and there is nothing even close that looks like the fireball in the video.

I don't think it's that expensive , here's a show from just up the road from me at Weston park.

This is in the middle of a dreary day in England in a rural area.

The second picture shows a street light on so it's evening on a dreary day.

It burns like a firework , doesn't last long like a firework and moves in tight circles like a stunt kite. Plus its about the right height and speed for a kite and it ends up by diving..like a kite.

Or...its a fleet of invading hyper dimensional alien mother ships. lol

Done like this - with a model plane - it wouldn't require much expense or expertise:

Try checking Mylar Kites and you'll probably find it.

I'm going to have to just repeat its likely a kite. The motion clearly shows it is a tethered object.

my first thought was a kite with sparklers that wouldn't start the kite on fire now I think it could be one of those rc planes with fireworks like gortex said.

It's just Venus. The Earth was wobbling erratically.

although I don't believe this is a ufo it is not "clearly tethered"
