I have been on line for about 3 hours now and noticed we have two new members.

They introduced themselves , but got no welcome from anyone except me.

Is that the way to go with new members who could have a realm of information waiting to be unleashed to us?

At the very least, maybe some of you could at least say welcome.

I'm betting a lot of the newer members just don't respond to welcome threads, just because..

I think the "elder" members do a great job of welcoming new members....

ask SpittinCobra, he does a great job of welcoming new members, almost every one of them I think..

as does Asala to name another...

I've also noticed that sometimes it takes a day or so for the members to see and respond to a welcome thread..

I don't think it's anything to worry about...

I sometimes say g'day to a new member who says some interesting things in his or her intro. I like to do that occasionally, with a personal touch.

I got one reply to my first Intro, and ended up marrying the 'respondent'.

Beware, LOL.

Well, I sometimes reply to Intro threads and also send U2s to new members welcoming them and asking for help.

I have been slacking lately, sorry.

Same as surf, i often u2u a new member to say hi and pass a few links on,

I think one of the reasons here is that we have had lot more new members latley, (understatement
)

So its been a little hard to keep on top lol..

But there are alot of member who do welcome more or less every member,
Its great to see and really helps a new member feel welcome,

So keep it up all

ok im moving this to chit chat as i feel its a better place for us to discuss this and alot more members will read it there hopefully adding a few more welcomers to the intro forum,

also think of something like i have in my sig, started a long time ago by webdevil....

New member helpline,
