Passed up again. Don't know why I didn't expect that.

The only reason I don't want to do that is that I don't want to date someone who just wants to date but nothing serious. If I want a serious relationship and she doesn't, what's the point? If I wanted a FWB I could get one easily, that's not what I want.

I'm not saying you're wrong, I just don't understand why I should put in the time, money, and effort only to find out that she only wants to date?

Well, that's understandable, and you are NOT wrong for wanting that. That's how dating should be, in my opinion.

In that case, I would recommend telling someone up front that's how you see dating. It might or might not work out, but if you both go in looking for something permanent, then you have the same hopes, and start honest with one another. So, when discussing a possible date, make that known right away, in a manner that makes her know you aren't planning to propose on date two, but are looking int hat direction down the road, if all goes well.

Now look here dave...

There's nothing wrong with you. The issue is the time you live in. Let me elucidate.

You live in a time,
When it's almost a crime,
For a fellow to have,
An emotion,
Where just being yourself,
Is a risk to your health,
Leading to pain,
And frustration,
Chivalry is dead,
Got shot in the head,
Behind a cafe,
In about 1980,

Now just because it died,
There is no need to cry,
Mourning was done,
Long ago,
Just accept and carry on,
Remember the worlds gone wrong,
And try to take things,
Less personal,
See the worlds a crazy place,
Where many only see a face,
Not the deep,
Unending structures,
Of soul and mind,
So forget the ladies,
And their coyness and maybes,
And just learn to have,
A bloody good time,

Remember you have value,
Which extends beyond you,
Despite others
Failing to see,
Remember you're a winner,
Amongst a sea of sinners,
No matter whether,
You win or miss victory,
Don't let the BS define you,
Glory is within you,
Someday it will,
Come to pass,

And when it does,
And you have what your heart loves,
You can look at life and say,
"Sorry, you appear to have,
My foot up your arse!"
