He probably also heard a "whistler" which is an ionospheric effect. They area very low frequency electromagnetic wave at audio frequencies.

Thank you for sharing, Tesla has many wonderous creations that have been hidden from the public.

The ones that we do know about, are probably just the ones they dont care we know of.
Imagine the inventions that are still hidden, perhaps released as new because of the advancement of technology.

Maybe, but I have doubts. It pretty much requires a radio telescope to isolate and capture such a weak signal. His description doesn't really seem to fit a pulsar. He described a 1-2-3-4 sequence of sounds.

Jupiter, on the other hand can generate a pretty strong signal. Here's an interesting analysis which used the same equipment which Tesla was using to detect such sequenced signals produced by Jupiter. On page 24 of the pdf is an audio recording of the kind of thing Tesla may have heard.

Jupiter makes more sense than a pulsar like you say.
Slower/longer wave signal.
Easier to detect on early radio equipment than a pulsar.
