Maybe. I confess that sometimes I think it's hopeless, but I have a hard time giving up completely. I do think you're on to something though, the correction needs to come from within the camp that the person associates with. It's not going to work if it comes from the "other" camp.

I think we need to, as a species, stop letting the labels that are meant to describe us, rule us.
In which case we would be able to disagree without splitting into different mutually hostile camps prone to endless bickering.

i agree, difference of opinion does not equal can't get along. HOWEVER, difference of opinion also doesn't equal loss of words to describe your position, such as your suggesting that the word "supernatural" be stricken from discussion / existence. that's not agreeing to disagree, that's disagreement on steroids lol
