Surely he means this is where the civilization that made up Atlantis came from.

Hmmm....but the earth Atlantis was understood to have taken place thousands of years before ancient Egypt. If that theory still stands in relation to this story, then the Egyptians were trading with the original Atlantean civilization that was still in existence after Earth's Atlantis sunk. What's peculiar is that the article states that "the lost city of Atlantis was on Mars" with no mention of the Earth version at all.

I'm lost on this claim!
Divers have found what they think was the city of Atlantis already in the Atlantic Ocean. Too much evidence points to it being on earth.

Maybe it was the "gods" from Atlantis on Mars? IDK.
