From the evil world bank, the city of Odisha in India was hit by a huge level 5 typhoon in 1999. 10,000 people died and the storm caused $4.5 billion in damage. The world bank worked with the government there, early warning systems, evacuation routes, shelters and other things. 14 years later the area was hit with another massive storm and 40 people died and it caused $700 mil in damage.

So investing in disaster resilience is not only the smart way forward but it will pay off in time.

Maybe the world bank is a evil entity but the work they are investing in is saving lives and property:

Weather-related losses and damage have risen from an annual average of about $50 billion in the 1980s to close to $200 billion over the last decade, according to the Munich Re insurance group.

A new report highlights the World Bank’s experiences from decades of work in weather-related disaster risk management and climate resilience.

Disasters strike rich and poor countries alike but some island nations and the poorest nations in Africa and Asia are among the most vulnerable

Weather-Related Loss &...

I fail to see how that is evidence of man made global warming let alone proof of it.

Natural disasters have been happening always and always will.

If only Pompey had a big old bank to invest in disaster relief. The dinosaurs too.

They may still be here.

EDIT TO ADD:
If only India and all developing nations could harness their natural resources without fear of sanctions and repercussions from the global-(ist) community they would have the infrastructure and wealth necessary to recover without the hefty penalties to the loans, credit lines, and aid offered to them from not so altruistic and uninterested parties.

They would be as developed and ready to respond as first world nations.

Those would be "Polls" from bankers yes?

Especially since they have changed the tune now and say it's "Inevitable" after failing to prove the long term case

Yes, there are profiteers positioned to make fortunes off of the misery of climate change. Read about the details in Windfall: The Blooming Business of Global Warming.

Publisher's Weekly succinctly states the importance of Windfall: "For most of the planet, the specter of global warming is ominous, but as journalist Funk reveals in this startling book, there are those who view the Earth's dangerous meltdown as a golden opportunity...Funk's original, forthright take on this little-discussed profit-taking trend in the climate change sweepstakes is very unsettling."

Profiteers Are Lining Up To Make Money Off Global Warming

Time to get the lawyers to draft those Last Wills and Testaments !!

Time to notarize those DNR papers !!

Better hurry !! Don't get "Carbonated" !!

Thank you xuenchen. I am in too good of a mood to even bother with this issue right now. I am "walking on sunshine" and no amount of doom porn will get me in the mood for climate apocalypse hysteria right now.

You saved me the trouble of having to showcase even more examples of how big business and the banking elite are behind this farce and how more polls and surveys are being doctored to promote their goals.

I was going to mention David Rothschild´s history (Mr eco-warrior golden boy) in the global warming hype....but I feel I give him too much credit and airtime anyways. We should just let him climb mountains and enjoy life while his family and their cohorts work to crush the average guy as per their modus operandi for the last 200+ years.

Have a good one.
hold it down.

The climate has been in a constant state of "change' for over 5 billion years.

There is NOTHING anyone can do to 'stop' it.

It gets hot.
It gets cold.
It gets wet.
It gets dry.

Always has,Always will.

The church of climatology needs to get over themselves.

But of course the only people who are getting ignored are the people with common sense, saying the US government already has enough power, and they don't need anymore.

So they can finish destroying business in this country to 'save' the planet'.

1 country out of 200 some odd countries.

Blah.

And like a said earlier, the Military doesn't care about this debate one way or another, they only care about logistics and capabilities. They SHOULD be planning for worse case scenarios. We know that a reliance on foreign oil is bad for the army. We know that mass migrations of people causes localized wars that we have been drawn into before. We know that with military budget cuts, renewable energy is something the military should look into. All of these things are just truths that the Military should be aware of and make contingency plans on. Congress basically said, ignore reality and forget weather, drought, famine, rising sea levels, rising gas prices and budget cuts and just continue on.

Let's get with reality, shall we?

Do you deniers believe that the profiteers in the fossil fuel industry are spending money to combat global climate change theory? Or not?

All anyone has to do is look up the trends of military defense spending of the last 6 years to see the 'House' is too little too dam late.

Hell between 'smart' grids, solar, and wind turbines that make any 'fixed' installation a target rich environment.

The military does care.

Lessons learned, and systems that was rapid deployed in Iraq, and Afghanistan.

Deniers ?

So what part of the climate has been changing for over 5 billion years are some people missing ?

The great dust bowls, hundreds of 'civilizations' across the world that now sit under hundreds of feet of water.

LONG BEFORE the so called 'industrial revolution'.

I don't disagree with you here. This is the military making recommendations and because they mentioned climate change the congress denied it. The military has learned and is making predictions based on solid research, selfish research to only better itself and congress has learned nothing except to play games. That's my take way from this.

I wouldn't call it 'selfish'.

Hell the only reason 'solar' exists is because of government spending in the first place.

Namely 'Nasa'.

Then the 'new' fangeled in dash 'navigation' that the current generation loves so much is a direct result of military spending.

The 'expensive' night vision driving systems on 'high end' autos again 'defense' spending.

Satellite tv, and internet. microwave communications, cell phones, gps.

Quite a few of 'can't live without' came from defense spending adapted to the civilian market.

Maybe I, and others don't want to see $15 dollar a gallon gas here.

Talk about putting people out of work it is already expensive as hell.

Sure we need more 'regulation' because that is the church of climatology's answer to EVERYTHING !

In order to 'save the planet' that grand DELUSION the 'deniers' should just sit back and let the US government REGULATE every part of their existence!

Sure why the hell not !

Proved out utterly idiotic it is.

Trying to control the entire WORLD is the EPITOME of selfish.

Especially when that government can't control it way out of a wet paper bag.

See IRS,See BATF, See the Southern Border, See the VA.

LOL WHAT A GD JOKE.

Here is another does of 'stupid'.

In order to 'save the planet' push a technology that DEPENDS on the CLIMATE to work!

But,but,but the Climate is CHANGING ! ! ! !

Which is why the sun doesn't shine every day.

Which is why the wind doesn't blow everyday.

But we must 'support' putting people OUT OF WORK like coal miners, and oil platform workers out of a job that end up on welfare.

To 'save' the planet'.

And then subsidized them new 'fangeled' solar panels, and wind turbines, made in China, and India that IS STILL made by FOSSIL FUELS.

Delievered, and installed by FOSSIL FUELS !.

Not really since the military has prepared for nuclear war for over 60 years.

Pretty much has 'global warming' already covered.

Between the 'deep underground military bases', and Mount Weathers, and 'Cheyenne Mountains.

What is 'moronic' is the militaries pursuit of 'alternative' energy since neither wind turbines, or solar panels are anywhere near HEMP, and EMP 'resistant'.
