Aboutface takes her first sip of the day. Why hello, Ladies and Gents! So this is where you hang out! Where are we? Middle earth? Isn't that
where all hard-to-find ATS threads reside?
Never would have found you, had Jacey not visited my thread about the signs of a false flag. It looks like I have some reading to do in order to
catch up. Please carry one while I sip and do some reading.
Coffee is on the Stove, The Log Fire is Roaring, There's Beer in the Fridge and a few "Characters" dotted around the place, please make yourself at
home! (And watch out for the baby Dragons.....)
Thanks for the welcome! Hate to ask, but I've been hibernating forever it seems, so could anyone spare a wee drop or three of Bailey's to put in my
second cup? I can almost taste it in anticipation. I'm on Shed 1, so enjoying the read.
My absolute favourite colour of flower too. Thanks so much! I wonder how long it will take me to read all the posts? I'm only on Shed 1, but it's
a fun relaxing read so far.
It's been a while since I checked in here and boy did we have a nice way to start last week. I know a lot of you guys heard of the oil train
derailment that we had here last week. It was a big old fashioned mess that had caused a lot of headaches for the past ten days since the accident.
Even though they said that the cars exploded at the location. They really didn't explode as many had said. What happened was when the cars caught on
fire. The heat of the fire caused the cars' structure to expand. Which in turn, caused the cars to rupture into massive fireballs that lasted for
nearly twelve hours.
Fast forward to ten days later, all of the tank cars involved have been removed from the site. Both mainlines that were wiped out and roasted in the
wreck have since been reopened starting around noon yesterday and the traffic has not stopped in the least bit. I do know that between noon until
around 8 PM yesterday, there were at least 20 or so trains that had been counted heading east past the derailment site.
As for the crude oil getting into the river at the site of the derailment. It never happened even though water intakes at Montgomery and Cedar Grove
were shut off. None of the cars that derailed wound up in the river either.
This is one of the local stations' coverage of the accident.
To add on to that......
You guys know who the last one to see this train in one piece and the only one to get it on video was?................ ME!!!
