Hi True, and everyone else. Good Morning!!

I don't know about Flowery. How about,
'When the Ship entered the Planet's atmosphere, it shook violently. It felt as thought it were being ripped apart at the seams. We didn't know if our craft could handle the assault.'
It would depend I guess what type of sci-fi story was unfolding, at the time anyway I'd suppose. Like if it were a mellow Story, or a more aggressive one. What think You?
Just wakin' up here and am a sci-fi lover......
I do like your softer approach though. Very poetic My Friend!

Again, Good Morning ALL!!

Hey Syx!

Yes, you are right. An awful lot depends on the context for the description, including what style of science fiction is being written, in order to know how best to approach the compositional elements of describing an atmospheric entry.

I hope you and yours are doing well bud!

We are doing as well as can be expected at this chaotic time year True. Only this year is now, suddenly as of only a few days back, financially better! Like tuesday a small gift of early Death benefeits from a will re-write has been bestowed upon us. Bills are actually ALL paid, and ahead a bit, and we can get some gifts to share with family. Nice feeling as I dread this time of year for the guilts I usually am paired with at this time of the year.
Oh to add, the link below is for My story contest entry. It explains how I feel about this time of the year.

Right then. Given that tonight is the night when all my local people come out to play, and greet each other in the name of quaffing a vast number of beverages, I must be off to prepare myself for the ridiculous events which are shortly to come to pass. It has been a pleasure as always, but I must dash!

See you around folks?!

This Chritmas will probably be just another day at the office for me. Don't have alot of money, and I work so much. If I'm lucky I'll get some time to sit back, and resume writing my novel...

Time has always been the greatest gift for me anyway.

Hello everyone! I was wondering, seeing that we have 272 pages of this thread, if we should start a new one in the new year? I forget what the page limit is for us. I would greatly appreciate everyones input since it belongs to all of us. We may even pick up more members starting fresh.

And what shall we call it? Another theme on the shed or something new like Enchanted Realm where anyone can enter our realm and join in a story or just be a part of the every day get togethers, or something else?

Weigh in and let me know what you think.

I hope Christmas isn't just another day at the office for you. Do you have family or friends you might be able to celebrate with?

Hm, not really. I am kind of a loner.

BTW I love your signature. Who is it from? I'd love to use it in my novel.

I don't know who wrote my signature. Maybe I'll come across the author of it someday. On Christmas I will be going out to eat and then at Mom's with the family, but should be online sometime early evening. I'll see you then if you are here.
