Evening all... ahhh it looks like the lads are finally appreciating the Beat Of The Drum!

I've got two drumkits... (a Pearl Export ELX in CHROME and an Arbiter FLATS Travel kit),
a bodhrain, a homemade cajon and my newly arrived birthday cajon too!

Can you tell I love drums??? LOL

Totally agree with the "primal" thing too. No doubt that the drum was the ORIGINAL and earliest form of musical "instrument" used to induce trance-like states with which to commune with the "other side"!!!

(tried to post some youtubby links but not working????) ughh!

Anyway - who's still here?? LOL

Hey Gordy! I'm hangin around. Was in another thread that has an image, from mars rover , that has an intriguing find in it. Part of a skeletal,Human(alien? most likely) bit in it. I found another anomoly in the pic, that looks like a bottle cap! I posted the original pic, with my markings on it, and am waiting to see if anyone confirs with me on it. (EDIT: I pulled comment here and addy I had posted to the thread. I removed the pic from thread as it may have been determined to be a derail tactic.Which I had not wanted to do, but all the same......)

EDIT: OH Yes! I agree with the drum being the earliest form of meditational use for getting one into the transindental state of an out of body experience!!

It has been a long time since I have been so creative. I am so thrilled with my latest project. I had these little glass picture frames and I put pressed flowers on the inside of the glass. I now have ferns and flowers from Mom's garden preserved for all time.
Sorry, don't have any pics which is a shame. I am keeping one for myself and making others for gifts. Years ago in a seaside town in a quaint little shop I saw similar ones for like 15.00 to 20.00 bucks!

Hi every one. Hope today is good for you's.

I can picture those items of which you speak. They would be neat.
My aunt has one with some 4 Leaf Clovers in it, she can just be walking along and be like, "Oh, Here's one." And reach down to pluck up a 4 leaf! So lucky that woman! LOL!!!

Hi Night,
Quick question - do you have access to a laminating machine?
(You know the little "hot press" piece of equipment, looks a bit like a printer for a computer, can be used for "laminating" paper for making outdoor signs and for badge making etc. You can buy domestic ones online very cheap now.)

Well, in the autumn, you can gather up all the different types of fallen leaves from the garden/park, with all of their lovely shapes and autumnal colours, and arrange them in the laminating pouches, then laminate them!

You end up with lovely "pressed" leaves between thin clear plastic laminate, which you can then use as placemats/coasters or in the window as decorations - I do this every year for my boys and they LOVE picking and arranging the leaves, and the end results are stunning, but it's so simple to do!
The leaves don't deteriorate either because they are sealed in.

very cool!

Just nipped out to try and find some leaves.... Not much has fallen yet... but I did get a few...
I Only have cheap (80micron thin) laminating pouches just now and the heavier (125micron) ones are MUCH better for this as they don't wrinkle.
But, Anyway - here's how this quickie one turned out!! LOL
on the table

against a white background

against the outside glass window to see the colours!

So,

So, Tune in, if you want to hear a nervous, ranting Scotsman struggle to describe an ailing Free radio station!! LOL

It was NERVE RACKING in the extreme and I was Rubbish at it!!! Ughhhh!!!!

Maybe they'll cut most (or all) of it???

Mike - You sir, are a gentleman!

Thank you for your very kind comments, you are a star among stars!

How lucky are we to have this place?

JANE - if you are back online after the move? Thankyou for starting this whole shebang off!
JACY - I hope that you are closer to getting back to us. We miss you, and you managed to keep this going! Thank You!
Please come home.

The rest of you...

Sh*t happens. period.
We have all been there.
We have all visited dark places in our heads!!
I think that may be the reason why we all get along so well in here, kindred spirits so to speak!
But the darkness is temporary! The veil lifts. Sunrise is just around the corner.

I'm doing great just now, my knee is just about better, and the dizzy thing has been ok for a couple of days.
Domestic life is ticking along nicely... My kids are hilarious!! and I'm in quite a happy place.

If ANY of you are struggling just now... please gimme a call.
PM me here, or phone/text, and I'm now on skype too!! oooohhh excited!! LOL
Look me up there! (gordi.drummer1) but let me know first as I have to set up the laptop to converse on skype!! (PC doesn't have mic or cam!!)

Whatever you're going through, you do not have to do it alone.

Dammit anyways. But a good dammit. LOL!!!
You hit it right with the " How lucky are we to have this place"
I find realignment by being here. When things get wonky,
I come in here and Wonky usually goes out the door!
Send Hello's and best wishes to Your Family for me?
Hugs all around!!!!!!
I would appreciate it!!!
