"Step One.Five" completed !!

VA employee bonuses taken back.

Now What's next.

Phoenix VA health care system Director Sharon Helman's nearly $9,400 bonus for last year has been rescinded.

Helman was placed on administrative leave on May 1 following accusations related to patient deaths.

VA officials in Washington say Veterans Affairs Secretary Eric Shinseki exercised his authority to rescind Helman's performance award for fiscal year 2013.

A VA spokesman says the bonus had been awarded through an administrative error.

LOL an "administrative error" ? ? ?

Phoenix VA Director's Bonus Rescinded

2nd Story with more details....

The director of the Phoenix Veterans Affairs Health Care System received an $8,500 performance bonus in April while the agency's inspector general investigated the deaths of 40 veterans there due to mismanaged waiting lists.

Sharon Helman also got a $9,345 bonus in 2013. A red-faced VA was forced to rescind the bonuses on Wednesday after a member of Congress blew the whistle on national television.

As the scandal deepens, two Democrats have broken a partisan logjam by demanding the resignation of VA Secretary Eric Shinseki.

Strange indeed that they would do anything at all, no bonus, admin leave...his promotion must be in the mail.
