I`ve been looking to do a thread on the history of UFOs for a while and whether its true or not one of the earliest modern ones I`ve come up with is
the crash in Aurora 1897. Now I have n`t had time to check out the truth (sure someone will fill us in) of this one or full story but it looks good.

This obviously is n`t the first sighting but I had heard that the US government has many thousands of files on sightings pre 1930s
