Pet Rock Ancestry

Pet Rocks were a 1970s fad conceived in Los Gatos, California by advertising executive Gary Dahl. The first Pet Rocks were ordinary gray stones bought at a builder's supply store and marketed as if they were live pets. The fad lasted about six months, ending with the Christmas season in December 1975. During its short run, the Pet Rock made Dahl a millionaire.

I have two main roles on ATS ...

1] To be a dependable down to earth paperweight who tries to cover the undercover operations and uncover the coverups.

2] To be a simple pretty ornament worth sentimental and nostalgic value.

I thought I was off to a bit of a rocky start [pun intended] with nobody quickly replying to this thread but you have undermined that faulty feeling and made me feel grounded!

And as for me being a rock ... does that mean Arken will misconstrue my stoney intentions

Hehe, unfortunately my velocity has been temporarily reduced due to a rather painful fractured rib or two. I barely cover 0.5 meters/second at the current time, hence my tardiness in replying to your thread

But I'm glad to see you are aware of the existence of The One they call Arken. His powers of observation are considerable and, imho, to be admired.
