I'm a P.I. Been at it for 5 years now. We conduct surveillance on people committing insurance and workers' compensation fraud. Very boring most of the time, trust me.

I have done many things over the years but it's generally been a case of whatever I can get to pay the bills including sales and working for a construction magazine. For some reason everything I get great satisfaction from as been voluntary work like working with the homeless etc. I don't know why I haven't pushed harder to merge the things I get satisfaction from with paid employment????

I have been a carer for one of my daughters for the last 5/6 years and I can honestly say it has been the most challenging and hardest thing I have done. Nothing about being a parent beforehand prepared me for looking after a desperately ill child long term.
But I have no doubt I will be able to turn these experiences into something positive helping other families at some point.....so yeah, probably some more voluntary work on the horizon

I work as a software developer part time... build databases and a website. My training is in computer systems engineering.

I am also a part time DJ business entrepreneur.

I am probably, more famously, someone who is heavily spied on by numerous nations and corporations - I make or break their fate, or so it would seem.... the protagonist of many ATS conspiracy threads. Not a very lucrative thing to be though - and not always so fun either.

I'm also a part-time stay-at-home Dad.

I've done just about everything involved in the production of newspapers, magazines and books - journalism, layout and design, editing and subediting, typesetting, production management. Mostly I specialised in corporate publications for employees and customers. I also handled public relations for a major charity.

Now I'm semi-retired, and planning a second career as a bookseller/antiques dealer.

12 years US Navy working on computers back in the 70's and 80's. A bit of a programmer down in the octal range. Web design on the side.
Employed as a software tester. I take the carefully developed software and destroy it as much as I can. It's real enjoyable to break the software using it ways the developers never thought of. I don't fix it I'm in charge of throwing the largest monkey wrench I can in front of the train. Sooner broke sooner fixed... if the fix doesn't break something..

Heh, I've done all the usual retail and fast food stuff. Then I did a three year stint teaching inner city school as a Middle School English and Language Arts teacher. The school I taught at was diverse enough it had over 40 different languages represented in its student body.

Then I moved on to a private business that worked with people of all ages who had specific types of learning disabilities focused on phonemic and number awareness and visual/verbal ability and how your mind interprets language into images in your mind - basically, when someone says the tomato plant grows 8 ft. above the ground, do you see a plant hovering 8 ft. in the air or does your mind see a plant that's grown 8ft. tall? It was a fantastic job and a lovely time working one on one with mainly kids who also had all kinds of other issues from autism all over the spectrum to dyslexia to other things to nothing at all.

Then, I picked up an extra job as a proofreader.

When the crash of '08 hit, I lost the clinician job (client hours dried up), but I'm still a proofreader/editor. And that's where I'm at today. Too bad it's underemployment.

30 years in the insurance industry - commercial energy related insurance now. Tons of financial reports. Was laid off for about 3 years so started a cleaning company that became moderately successful until I had to go back to work. Just can't get good help these days :-).

Also do graphics design and website set up on the side for friends and local charities for advertising benefits for groups and individuals in need of help.
