I have a friend that asked me to post a rare 2 cent German penny on e-bay because I have a sellers account. I agreed, but I'm having a hard time finding any info on it. All I know is, it's rare.

The year is 1936F, good quality. It's called a 2 Reichspfennig in German. 1936 was the first year these pennies were made.
It has the Nazi symbol on the back.
I need to know if anyone can help me determine it's worth? I can't find a thing on the web, other than what I just mentioned. Maybe I don't know where to look.

Any Germans (or anyone!) here that can help me out?

Sorry to blow any dreams of being an instant millionaire but it's worth about US$ 4.50.

Found that info here

The penny shown doesn't have an F on it. I saw on another website that this one is rare, so it should be worth way more than $4.50. I hope!!

I'm assuming the F is between the two oak leaves?

www.catawiki.com...

Has it been graded? It's worth up to about $49 it seems .. depending on the grade.

Yes. You should be able to see it in the OP picture.

No, it hasn't. How do I get it graded?

So far I've found you are correct, the coin is uncommon. I don't know whether you know but the F signifies that it was minted in Stuttgart. Still no price yet though.

ETA: Bingo. It's valued at US$ 47.50. Found it Here

You need to bring it to someone who grades them. You should be able to Google it.

That is what someone is selling it for .. not the value. The grade of the coin matters.

Perhaps, however I doubt the grade is going to move the decimal point.

That's dis-heartening! I'll see what I can find out about the grade. I'm illiterate in these things. That's why I asked for help. lol

ETA: How should I word the google search?

You should Google coin grader and then your area.
Tbh the 49 or so bucks will be top grade probably and you need a coin that Damn near never left a case.
It is a super cool coin, I'd say it's worth it to keep it but that's just me

2 Reichspfennig 1936 A = ~11 - 29 €
2 Reichspfennig 1936 D = ~7 €

Couldn't find any F...

I'd suggest to ask for several evaluations and NOT to sell it before you know for sure.

Thanks. And thanks to everyone who helped me with this.

Nope! This penny isn't going anywhere until I know it's worth.
