In any situation, the best thing you can do is the right thing; the next best thing you can do is the wrong thing; the worst thing you can do is nothing.

What angers you, conquers you.

Have the courage to follow your heart and intuition, for somehow, they already know what you truly want to become.

True freedom is knowing that you alone are morally responsible for what you do.

You don’t have to wait for an apology to forgive someone.

Only two types of people never change; the wisest and the stupidest.

If you repeat a lie often enough, it becomes politics

Phones keep getting thinner and smarter; people, the opposite.

Ever notice that 'What the hell' is often the right decision?

Nice are these your own?

Let me try.

True freedom is to fear nothing.

How was that?

I like them all but I changed that one because to view any of your actions through morality can't truely be free, as believing in morality means you believe in good and evil and if you believe in good and evil you have to believe in a higher power and of course if there is a higher power, you can't truely be free.

To fear nothing on the other hand, means to not judge your actions through the tinted spectacles of morality and thus have freedom to act without impunity.

Well that's my view anyway.

Here's a few more I found. I have these things strewn about the hard drive.

Life isn’t about getting and having, it’s about giving and being.

The best time to plant a tree was 20 years ago. The second best time is now.

The two most important days in your life are the day you are born and the day you find out why.

Most children are afraid of the dark. Many men are afraid of the light.

Challenges make life interesting; overcoming them makes life.

A good Christian should make a nonbeliever question their disbelief in God.

It is the besetting vice of democracies to substitute public opinion for law. This is the usual form in which the masses of men exhibit their tyranny.

"The Earth is a very small stage in a vast cosmic arena. Think of the endless cruelties visited by the inhabitants of one corner of this pixel on the scarcely distinguishable inhabitants of some other corner, how frequent their misunderstandings, how eager they are to kill one another, how fervent their hatreds. Think of the rivers of blood spilled by all those generals and emperors so that, in glory and triumph, they could become the momentary masters of a fraction of a dot." - Carl Sagan

"We don't read and write poetry because it's cute. We read and write poetry because we are members of the human race. And, the human race is filled with passion. And medicine, law, business, engineering, these are noble pursuits and necessary to sustain life. But poetry, beauty, romance, love, these are what we stay alive for. To quote from Whitman, 'O me! O life!... of the questions of these recurring; of the endless trains of the faithless -- of cities filled with the foolish; what good amid these O me, O life? Answer. That you are here - that life exists, and identity; that the powerful play goes on and you may contribute a verse.' That the powerful play goes on and you may contribute a verse. What will your verse be?"
