The Phoney wars erupt and subside like pimples on the face of the globe....regularly enough, some terror act is perpetrated somewhere in the world.....Plots are hatched, and foiled, and carried out by different groups both governmental agencies and anti governmental forces.....
Flag and false flag exchange turns at violence of some sort every time it seems a crisis is needed.......for whatever purpose...(distraction, annexation, destabilisation, you name it)
With the big boys on the block bristling at each other again over Ukraine, and other hot spots turning up......The war on drugs proceeding apace as well as the Cartels increasing profits and violent confrontations..........the laws seek to increase policing powers constantly...in increments......
to deal with specific incidents...(Sandy hook etc)

In a nutshell, id like to ask the precognitives and the future diviners here what they see the future of that quaint ideal we call "freedom" to be?

With constraints now so odious that instant death with no trial could be the result of official policy......have we swung far enough out on the pendulum of tyranny, that we may see a swing in the direction of more freedoms soon?
Or are we on a one way ticket to the society Hitler dreamed of?

When and how do ATSers feel we will have our liberty restored?

I await your pronouncement.....

When will you get your rights restored?

Can't restore them unless they've been taken first...

How come the media who brought the information to you is not under the control of this "tyrant"? If you have no more rights, how come you're not imprisoned for speaking on ATS, or dead?

What kind of a world you want? Will every single obstacles in the people's path result in mass whining and mass hatred from the people? Is a world with no more challenges an ideal world for mankind?

Sure, all government has bad apples, but so do the people. Focusing on this only fuels division so far.

How can governments make peace with a people who has only hatred to offer?

When indeed! What makes you think you had any rights in the first place?

Freedom is an illusion, it exists so we can feel empowered, the reality could not be further from the truth, always has been probably always will be.

Somebody really needs to start giving American History classes. People have more rights now than ever. People just seem to forget that about slavery, no rights for women, sedition laws, black lists, internement camps, gun bans, House UnAmerican Ativities Committe etc. And wars? As for wars, at least we use volunteers now before, they would just grab you in street if you did not have the proper paper work. Of course now our involvemet in wars is much more rare mostly because wars are now rare in the world. Honestly I can believe how big of rose colored glasses people put on to look at Americas history. Or is it just a martyr complex? Either way a little reading on American History will make you feel much better about where we are today compared to where we came from.

We still have the right to remain silent. Shut up and go back to work.

Well, how about that......of course we make no mention of the patriot act nor the NDAA....
We shant speak of the oppressive all seeing eyes of the five eyes......
oh, I remember getting a flight to anywhere and not being groped nor empty my pockets, being x rayed etc....
I even remember stooging around in public places without being harassed and id ed by storm troop cops,,,,
I remember a time when a border hop either way toor from Canada was a casual thing hardly requiring one undergo any scrutiny....
Then theres the right to participate in government through real paper votes that can be recounted if disputed....nor altered by algorythms...
Oh and remember the free speech zone....
To my thinking the rights of the ordinary person are dwindling fast....
Sure people have THE RIGHT TO SUE FOR DAMAGES...BUT THE SYSTEM HAS BEEN ALTERED TOWARDS THOSE WHO ALREADY HAVE THE DOUGH....THUS MAKING SUCH A RIGHT A MOCKERY.....
Yep we have the rights...the right to remain silent maybe....while the basics are being taken through fait accomple...

No doubt. We have actually come a long way. Not that you'd realize if you don't read up on your history or even outside of these forums for some.

The truth is that the world is a much safer place and more freedom is enjoyed now than ever before.

That is not to say that we have won the war for freedom. There is still a long way to go and there are many points that will constantly need to be returned to.

We as a society are still in a discovery phase. The WWW has brought us together so that we can share our experiences. Now we can talk about videos that show police brutality, we can share a recording of corrupt politicians, we can see memos that give us inside knowledge of how banks and corporations make decisions.

Basically we have the tools to be able to put the tools of society under the microscope. Now we can bring into the light all the things that used to be hidden from us. We can discuss and plan on ways to change what we don't like, and end practices that don't work. It has always been a long tiresome process so dont give up hope yet. Things will get better.

Another thing to bring up is how we can actively bring about change. We will only get the change we are willing to work towards. How far are you willing to go? How active are you in your community? How many times have you wrote or spoken to your local govt. there is a process for change. It works if we can keep it from the hands of the corrupt. When it stops working, you know there is something amiss.

"The truth is that the world is a much safer place and more freedom is enjoyed now than ever before."

Possibly this is what "they" want you to think!

Is it freedom we enjoy the luxury of having, or security? Because if its security then at what price? The price I suspect is our freedom!

Yes and i agree. There is an obvious push by nefarious forces to obfuscate our minds. The only way to fight against it is to educate yourself and others. Which this sight is an excellent platform for this type of work.

Im not calling anyone out, but what do some of you do other than rant on the internet about how we are living in a police state? (which we obviously are)

If you want to bring change, it starts locally. It has to be an organized effort with many likeminded people doing a lot of leg work within the system.

That is how our "freedoms" were taken from us. By educated lawyers and "community organizers". They worked to change the system to benefit themselves by changing the laws. What they do is "legal" because they had the foresight to have the laws "reinterpreted".

Sadly most people do nothing to act against tyranny and things they don't agree with.

They will complain about situation A. and how terrible it is but yet continue to be a part of it.

More people need to step out of line. Even those who call for mass non-compliance to get change usually don't follow their own principles. Me personally? I don't pay federal income tax. I try my damned best to not buy from corporate entities. I grow organic. I learn the old skills. I don't take part in the corrupt voting procedures. I show dissent wherever possible against something that infringes on mine OR anyone else freedom.

I think that last one is a big thing. People are so arrogant and ignorant to the process that they feel they are immune, regardless of how the world is changing for others. Perhaps you aren't affected by the tyranny as much as another person, but it is the age old poem by Martin Niemoller that speaks truth more than most will ever understand until it is too late:

First they came for the Socialists, and I did not speak out—
Because I was not a Socialist.

Then they came for the Trade Unionists, and I did not speak out—
Because I was not a Trade Unionist.

Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out—
Because I was not a Jew.

Then they came for me—and there was no one left to speak for me.

Thing is buddy, these days its all one can do to survive and feed the family.

Situations and perspectives change, before I had kids I would have been quite willing to actively participate in a revolution against TPTB.

These days i'm happy just to be able to get buy and bring up my children. God help them in the world they find themselves all the same and to which, to some degree, we are all ultimately responsible for.

Tell that to the country's where the USA is trying to enforce its own laws and values on. The US government has no respect for sovereignty of foreign states!

Division? Looks like you are already divided into the people vs the government dialectic.

That will only happen when the amount of awareness overpowers the amount of bad legislation. The rule of law only works when it is applied to all classes and all people.
