I would say this failed because people sensed this was a movement started by the wrong sorts of people. This is clearly a conservative movement, and they expected all those demographics to support this, lol. And to boot - they pretend to be part of anonymous, either that or they have infiltrated anonymous to be this garbage conservative movement.

This reminded me of "the business plot" from 1933

In cases like this, these sorts of things are supported by the same players, the people that you see as the "elites". Ask yourselves, do you people really know who started this movement, and why ? And then look at who's supporting it, people like Glen Beck, yeah, OK.
