My apologizes if it came off as a Anti US rant but you would be pretty pissed too if UK cops were arresting US citizens for breaking UK laws when they never even went to the UK.

No argument there.
It was a year or more ago that another member on here had asked me in a private but perfectly serious question. How likely did I think it would be that American agents could do something about violations of law in New Zealand. I never asked details of what laws of course, figuring some mysteries are better left that way. I don't think he much liked the answer that it was near 100% for odds if the crime was federal and serious enough.
When he asked how far or long it would be for Americans to do something (he was kinda worrying me by then) I helpfully asked where the local US Embassy was for distance? Err... I don't recall chatting much after that. lol....
Countries really ought to mind their own a whole lot more than they do. NO question. The DEA has plenty to do here, when their own Government isn't busy invalidating the laws they are still ordered to enforce in the sickest catch-22 of stupidity I've ever seen.

Because the US Government and associated agencies think they run the entire world.
The way our politicians and agencies here in the UK bow and scrape to American whims, it's hardly surprising America pushes it's luck more and more..we've basically given them unwritten authority to do what the hell they like.
Frankly, it sometimes makes me wonder what dodgy pictures and info the CIA have on most of our politicans.

We get the same # just worse here in Canada.......I know someone who owns a cannery that caters to sports fishermen....
The freaking Homeland Security was up here demanding his co operation and compliance to their wishes not long ago....
The DEA is constantly running helos and sending agents to check out the pot growers ........
I say Yanqui go home....tend your own prison system, and leave ours alone....

As a resident of the United Kingdom of Great Britain, I want to make it clear that I give no permission for the US criminal justice system to act within the borders of my country, or to act upon citizens of this country.
This nation is sovereign, and is not for the United States to police. Continued inability on the part of the US government to recognise that and wind in its neck, will result in its law enforcement personnel on British soil being sent home one bloody ounce at a time.

The DEA is all over Central and South America, they are also involved in Afghanistan and many other places in the world. The "War on Drugs" has essentially given them the power to go other countries and behave like mercenaries.
With all the US alphabet agencies doing covert and not so covert things around the world, it is obvious why the rest of the world feels the US is trying to police the world.
I can only hope as a result of this, the rest of the world will protest the abuse of power that the US continues to project all over the world.
