Mmm, bugs. The future of protein. Better learn folks because there may not be any beef or chicken on those store shelves one day. Crickets, grasshoppers, cicadas, earthworms are easy sources. Cooking them to be palatable will be your biggest challenge. Remove spiny legs and wings before imbibing.
Really they're not that bad. It helps to roast them then grind them up so you don't recognize them anymore.

Here are some recipes for homemade electrolyte replacement drinks:

www.livestrong.com...

(1)

Take 6 oz. of canned frozen orange juice, 6 cups water, 1 tpsp. corn syrup, 1 tsp. baking soda and 1 tsp. salt. Mix this in an appropriately sized container and refrigerate. Sip continuously throughout the day and after loose stools to keep yourself hydrated.

(2)

This set of recipes is from Rehydration Project, a group that is dedicated to ending diarrhea around the world. Make a drink with 1 L of water, or 5 cups, 6 tsp. sugar and 1/2 tsp. salt. For a second version, use 1 L water, 1/4 tsp. salt, 1/4 tsp. baking soda and 2 tbsp. sugar or honey.

(3)

When the H1N1 virus was in its prime, many people developed kits to deal with the illness and make themselves feel better. Southern Utah University came up with a flu kit complete with its own electrolyte replacement fluid recipe. Take 2 qts. water, 1 tsp. baking soda, 1 tsp. salt and 7 tbsp. of sugar and mix together. You can add in a packet of sugar-free drink mix, such as Kool Aid, to give your drink some flavor, and you can also make ice cubes and ice pops out of the drink, if desired.

And remember, bananas and potatoes are good sources of potassium.

Regarding electrolyte replacement, the best I have found is "Young Cocoa Nut Juice with Pulp" from the Asian market.
Recall Codie Lundein barfing on Stranded At Sea Dual survival episode...he immediately recovered after three cocoa nuts.
This is gold after a really turf hike or heat wave...like in SoCal it's a furnace right now...
Did I mention the unmentionable?

The Asian diet is key for long life.

Thank you, Granite. I will add the Cocoa Nut to my repertoire.

You can never have too much information.

And I agree, the Asian diet has a lot to offer for longevity.
