This is the kind of waste of money with Obamacare that someone needs to be held criminally responsible for. I mean how many people could have been covered with insurance or straight out medical care. This is the problem with allowing the federal government to run anything, much less healthcare for everyone. If they get to a single payer system this kind of bureaucratic waste will be rampant and another disaster for Americans.

Employees at an ObamaCare processing center in Missouri with a contract worth $1.2 billion are reportedly getting paid to do nothing, whistleblower says

Employees at an ObamaCare processing center in Missouri with a contract worth $1.2 billion are reportedly getting paid to do nothing but sit at their computers. "Their goals are set to process two applications per month and some people are not even able to do that," a whistleblower told KMOV-TV, referring to employees hired to process paper applications for ObamaCare enrollees.

How much more evidence is required before we the people fire the federal government for anything but the necessities put forth in the Constitution? The kind of disasters seen in the other entitlement programs will spread like a cancer into Obamacare and we will all suffer for it!

The facility in Wentzville is operated by Serco, a company owned by a British firm that was awarded $1.2 billion in part to hire 1,500 workers to handle paper applications for coverage under the law, according to The Washington Post.

The whistleblower employee told the station that weeks can pass without data entry workers receiving even a single application to process. Employees reportedly spend their days staring at their computers, according to a KMOX-TV report.

“They’re told to sit at their computers and hit the refresh button every 10 minutes, no more than every 10 minutes,” the employee said. “They’re monitored, to hopefully look for an application.”

This probably happens across the government. Do you need any more evidence to realize Obamacare is a big fat money sink! It is only going to take your wealth, like this $1.2 Billion in your tax money and spend it like this.

Last year, the British government launched an investigation into the firm's parent company, Serco Group, for allegedly overbilling the government by "tens of millions of pounds" under a contract to monitor offenders on parole and individuals released on bail, The Washington Post reported.

The Obama administration defended the high-dollar contract at the time.

Sure they did. This Administration is Totally Incompetent. They have proved this over and over again. It is time to run the leftist socialists out of government or America will suffer much greater losses. What else are we going to allow this law breaking administration to do next? It is time to call your Congressman or woman and get some justice for this farce!

This is simply what happens anytime government gets involved with anything. Governments have no real reason to keep cost under control because they can always print more money or vote themselves an increase. Everyone here saw this coming along with the many other problems with Obamacare.

It's disgusting to waste all that money, have a lower standard of care and a higher overall cost to the consumer. This law is an utter failure.

Exactly! And the money issue? Well, the Administration and the Democrats wanted another $1.2 Trillion in new taxes this year. And the government took in a record amount this tax season $1.7+ Trillion. I guess they have the taste of single payer on their lips.

They are paid to process paper applications. Go figure. But, this is just one example of government waste. The federal government is the last one that should be handling healthcare. Healthcare is wholly 20% of the US Economy. If they ever get to single payer we will be losing a whole lot more out of our paycheck!

Single payer is the way to go. Leave Healthcare itself private though. I am on the State healthcare plan where I live, it's run soooooo much better than the private plans. In the past 4 years private plans have increased by 30-40%, my plan has DECREASED slightly, coverage is about the same. I currently about $90 a month, and that includes dental, private plans are $200-300.

The government has no business running health care, it CAN run insurance just fine.

Sounds like a good place to live! Our Medicaid is run fine by the STATE. But the federal government dictating what is sold in the plans is the problem. And the Federal Government is in no way as efficient and responsive to the needs of the local people. Socialized medicine is what will be if you let the federal government go to single-payer. It is their involvement in the insurance market that has had all these disastrous effects on policies, deductibles, and what procedures are covered, and not covered. Single payer in this country will have effects like other countries. You will be in long waiting lines for services beyond the ER. If they are paying, they are determining what and when you get treatment. Right now they are dictating the same to the insurance companies in their 33,600 pages of regulations that HHS put out already from the 2000 page law. Not what you and your doctor decide.

The simple fact that the "federal gov't" is doing nothing to correct this abhorrent mess, signals that they have even worse catastrophes in their/our future -

It is a very scary time for those that can really see what is happening in our country - and the world, right now.

They aren't even attempting to fix this #ing mess......

I'm not sure if pressing the refresh button every ten minutes would be the greatest job in the world or if it would drive me insane after a few days at work.

It reminds me of Desmond on "Lost" down in the hatch resetting the timer every half hour to keep the island from blowing up.

I truly hope that not one person here is surprised.

This kind of crap has been common and popular with Govt programs and the Govt in general.

If you aren't pissed by now, you aren't paying attention.

Can you please tell me how to go about finding a health insurance plan like you described in Georgia? I looked into Obamacare and for my wife and myself they want $800 a month with a $6,000 deductible and a $6,000 deductible on meds. It's INSANE! Thanks for your help!
