What is there to argue here? Of course the Earths climate is changing, it's always changed and always will change, humans or no humans. There is still not ONE scientist that can conclusively say that humans are a driving cause of "climate change" So you're telling me that I'm supposed to believe a bunch of scientists whose funding and careers depend on people buying into the bull their selling? Sorry, sounds too much like every other CON this world has going on today. Scare the crap out of people, and watch the money roll in. Come on show us something conclusive, I've been waiting for years, from when it was "Global Warming", through "climate change" and now something about Extreme weather.

What is there to argue? Nothing.

It's a scientific fact humans are producing CO2 at an alarming rate, and it's only increasing, never stopping.

It's a scientific fact the Earth has a limit on how much CO2 it can absorb. Everything else will stay in the atmosphere.

It's a scientific fact CO2 absorbs radiation, and traps heat in our atmosphere (greenhouse effect).

It's a scientific fact that increasing greenhouse gases in the atmosphere will increase temperatures on Earth.

It's a scientific fact increasing temperatures will increase greenhouse gases.

It's a fact we have a legitimate problem on our hands, man-made global warming, which was theorized more than a hundred years ago.

We don't even have to argue about current temperatures, or past temperatures, or politics, or who funded what scientist, etc.. The above is absolute, certain, and most true, and inevitable warming is a fact.

You should never use the word scientific and fact together like that. Science is constantly changing; the new data constantly changing the old data. The only fact that can be scientifically proven is that we live and we die, that is about it.

I don't think the point of their graph was to prove that rising temperature raises Co2 levels. I'm more inclined to believe that the point they were trying to make was that through the ages the temperature has rather consistently fluctuated between cold and hot periods, way before the industrial revolution.

that's why the wind blows, doesn't it?
to spread the CO2 all around. so it don't bunch up in one place.

call china and india. maybe russia should get a 3am ring too.

maybe we should plant more scrubbers or invent a CO2 scrubber on a serious scale?

or just say meh, it will work out, someday before we all die.

like the ozone did.

Sorry, but the facts I stated are absolute, and can be proven in a laboratory, proven with mathematics, proven by observation, and are set in stone, undeniable. Like 1+1=2.

I agree with you that science is continually changing and improving, but that is when dealing with theories, not facts and laws.

No, the graph was to show the relationship between CO2 and temperature.

We all know the temperature has fluctuated in the past. There are many things that can cause temperature changes. One of those being a change in CO2 levels, or other greenhouse gases.

No, the wind blows because of changes in air pressure.

What happens when CO2 is created in every place? Where does it end up?

Humans have vehicles and factories all over this tiny world. CO2 has places to go, but those places are almost full already.

It's not going to work out if we keep creating more and more and more CO2.

I did not really intend this post to be an argument about climate change. More a discussion about politicians who want to be President failing to use critical thinking when it comes to serious issues in our world. Rubio seems to regret how ignorant his comments made him look. I feel it exposes the truth about most of our politicians in that they just follow the rules and agenda set by the rich who support their campaigns to remain in power rather than addressing issues soberly and with thought and consideration of the consequences of their actions to our Nation and in this case all of humanity.

We need leaders who will seek out the truth on issues and not just hold on to their political ideals even when or if those ideas are proven false.

The Earth is heating up and it is not good for humanity regardless of the cause. Any President should take this threat seriously and support research and study of the phenomenon as well as research into how we might reverse it should it endanger humanity. We don't need close minded people like Rubio to be President who wont believe or listen to "Scientist" in their quest for truth.

I am not in anyway knowledgeable enough on the subject of climate change to determine its cause but I do not want leaders who are close minded about it and unwilling to use critical thinking to make determinations on such subjects.

CO2 does cause the temperature to rise and that rise causes the release of more Co2 so the situation gets worse and worse. If we intentionally release more Co2 that then increase temperatures that then cause more Co2 release we could then end up with an out of control situation and end up with Venus 2.

Have you seen or can you find any data about rainfall in the US? My area is experiencing significant drought.

you say in the post RIGHT before this one, that you are not knowledgable enough about the subject, to determine it's cause, and then you say this.....words fail me right now.....

you're just parroting now.....

there have been tons of studies.....the government-funded ones say we're causing it, the non-government-funded ones say we're not...hmmmm

he's not being closed-minded, he's being realistic. there have already been tons of studies, and anyone without an agenda can see that there have been major climate changes throughout history, and it seems to operate in cycles....this is just part of the cycle...there have been periods in history that had FAR higher levels of CO2 in the atmosphere, and we didn't get the "runaway global warming" thing then, as proven by the fact that we're all here right now...

did you know humans produce CO2 simply by breathing?

Wasn't it a few years ago that these "scientists" caught in a lie when an email was leaked showing they were falsifying the research in favor of the climate change believers?

No. Climategate was no such thing. It was a conflated nonsense about language.

As for the Climate i cant help but think we do contribute but, are we the only reason...no.

97% of the scientists studying this have agreed that it is happening. Tons upon tons of studies say that it's happening. The only place where it's not happening is in the empty heads of those Republicans who shilling for the Koch Brothers and the oil industry.

The Koch brothers didn't try to start a carbon credit exchange in Chicago were you can buy dispensation for using fossil fuel. This sounds like SCAM to me! The EPA is now closing an average of one coal fired power plant a month where India and China are opening one new coal plant a week with little pollution control. If the USA is minding our environment who is regulating the rest of the world? We can't do it alone. GREEDY POLITICIAN!

We are approaching the environmental problem ASS-BACKWARD! With our industrial power, we should be helping other developing countries develop clean power technologies THEN do it ourselves. With our industrial might it would happen much faster than shooting ourselves in the foot by closing our plants first! STUPID POLITICIANS!

Scientists said it was global cooling, then global warming and then climate change...what is it? Why if they couldn't determine what is going on, then why did they all change on CUE? Scientists are paid to do studies and if there is no studies then they have no jobs/income. They are getting on the gravy train. GREEDY SCIENTISTS!

The public sees weather patterns that are cyclical and are convinced by scientists and politicians it is due to climate change. The public demand studies and government intervention to stop the change. The government funds studies and special interest groups fund sympathetic politicians. If this scheme keeps the scientist working and politician in office then there is NO reason to solve environmental problems. STUPID PEOPLE, GREEDY POLITICIANS AND DISHONEST SCIENTISTS. Just my 2 cents.

did you read what i said?

nobody's saying "climate change" "global warming/cooling", wtfever, is NOT happening...we're saying WE'RE NOT CAUSING IT....

the FACT that it's happening isn't in dispute....change IS happening....what's in dispute is the cause.

the idiotic assertion that humanity, all by itself, is causing this, is insane....it's based on manipulated, and cherry-picked data, and junk science....people with a lot of money want everyone to believe that humanity is the cause, so they can usher in all kinds of legislation, that will give them MORE money, and MORE control...

why can't we just develop better ways of doing things because they're better? why does it have to be because "zomg man-made global apocalypse, venus part two, doom porn armageddon"? why allow the powers that be, lie to us, to justify taxing us for breathing?
