No my media is'nt telling me that China is going to attack... I was using that as a "what if" example.

I've been to the UK and Europe numerous times, as a merchant mariner I see the non-tourist places too... How many times have you been to the US? I mean the real US not New York or L.A.

I really think your media is a bit more biased than here. You've just grown so used to it that you don't notice anymore.

Our media isn't biase, Tony Blair has been torn apart some many times in the media. The UK media shows all views of the story..ashame America dont. We do have American Fox News over here and its weird to watch cause Fox do take sides.

America is the most prosperous the most exciting, the most energetic, the most technologically advanced, the most beautiful, the most safe, the most democratic, and to some degree the most spoiled.

I am a European who is an American citizen, my parents move here from Italy after the war. I have been back to Italy and am amazed at what length the left-wing propaganda machine has went to misinform the Italians about America. Most of my relatives as well as many Italians believe that Americans are selfish, hateful, scary people who live in caves. They believe that most Americans are out of work that people are starving in the streets and that only the rich have healthcare.

All of it nonsense! Finally one of my cousin came and visited America and could not believe how far advanced we are. Our cities magnificent, our technology unmatched, and he and his family felt like they had visited a futurist land.

They all wanted to move here especially his grown daughter and son.

They are not hicks, they live very well in Italy and they have traveled to other countries---but none as fantastic as America.

The Communist and Socialist spend billions of dollars every year on propaganda to make America look bad.

They are terrified that if the word got out on how well Capitalism works that their barbaric Socialistic ideas would never fly.

I don't think its the fact that other countries hate Bush, but miss the "old days"...

Days when Clinton would throw money to anyone or anything no matter what they did with it and the days when Bill Clinton flexed his muscle by warning people in a "if you do it again, then we will do something" sort of way...

Our country was attcked, viciously, and instead of warning Bin Laden, Bush did something about it. Instead of watching Hussein continually gain power instead of appeasing him, a la Hitler, Bush did something about it. Sorry, but the last time the UK was bombed...WWII, I remember the US coming to its aid. I love it how the United States should be there to support every other country when they are in trouble, but when we decide we could use some help, everyone runs for the hills and hides. While I know the UK is currently our ally, and I am thankful for it, it makes me angry that the people of the UK seem upset to be helping us.

I cant wait for the next time a country like France needs our help and we snub them, like they did to the US...the lunch line is only so long and once you step out, you shouldn't step back in.

Sorry, I got into a little bit of a vent there, not attacking anyone here, just getting some things off of my chest.

Seeing as Saudi Arabia was behind the American 9/11 and Bush still refused to go after them, I doubt he would have supported a British invasion of Saudi Arabia after a British 9/11.

Marshall Plan Total: $13 billion

By today's standards that is about $400 billion, and not even one quarter of that has been paid back, and don't even get started on the WWI debts.

Let me get this straight, the middle east hates us because we gave them the technologies capable to pump oil out of their ground and make trillions in return and we defend them when a brutal dictatorship attacks another soveigrn state and then when he has killed hundreds of thousands of his own people, embezled billions of dollars ment to repair his nations infrastructure, and then is consistantly non complient with the US we come to overthrow him and replace him with a democracy and they still hate us?

Im not going by my own view, but im going to look at America's trackrecord. If it would envolve benfiting America, then yes, they come to our aid. But if there was nothing they could gain out of it, then America wouldn't help.

Seeings Hitler didnt have to cross water to invade the Soviet Union and he did have a pact with the Soviets. Hitler betrayed Stalin and remember the Soviet is a lot biggering then the UK. If he got control of the Soviet Union, we would have been helpless.
