Take me to Your Leaders (poem)

Who is it that you follow?
Who tells you what to do?
Who is it that you idolize
and give your power to?

Please take me to your leaders,
so I can tell them they are lame.
They should know there are those of us
who won't bow to riches and fame.

Did the Romans ever really fall?
Nay, they only changed their name,
revitalized their control structures,
instituted a new game.

Yet still you all just play along,
let them dictate over you.
They only seek to limit your goals,
control what happiness you pursue.

Yeah, I think that was like my latest epiphany around the time I wrote this a few years ago.
