Here is a poem I wrote this morning that I feel makes sense being here.

I wonder. What if. What if.

What if the dollar collapses?

Would the world go up in ashes?

It could happen.

It's a fiat currency, backed by nothing.

Whats going to stop it? Hopefully something.

Backed by oil, and its rule on our life.

We get nothing but to toil and strife.

Yet we all keep working,

like good little sheep.

Then we leave this world, with nothing to keep.

So I ask you, what would you do?

If the dollar was worthless, and your taxes came due.

Then again, maybe that's what it will take,

For us to cast away, this horrible fake.

We are modern day slaves,

waking up in waves..

Money should no longer be our master.

So I ask you now, do you agree?

Or is this something only I see.

A vision of the future, with a little less greed.

A world less lonely, with no one in need.

This may sound like a joke,

You may think I'm a fool.

But all it would take, is ending money based rule.

- Me

I think the US simply needs to buy Mexico...surely it can't be that expensive. Would solve all the immigration issues, get some law and order going, some epic new spring break and retirement areas, etc...

Only problem is of course convincing the Mexicans to join the US

Yes! I have been saying this for a long time. I don't understand why Mexico wouldn't want to be a part of the U.S. - I would think it's a win-win for them. It would bring much needed money to them, more jobs, we could clean out the cartels and "banditos", making it an even better place for everyone to live. What's not to love?
Well they have their own TPTB. They'd probably take issue with it when they understand they'll no longer be the top TPTB in Mexico. Puerto Rico doesn't even want to be a state.

Funny I rang mine up and saw him the same day...
We do have a problem in that many people are becoming NHS tourists...some from the USA and they are taking much needed resources but we have made new rules of whom and who can not use the NHS, basically people have to have been here working for some time etc.
Sure it has problems but this is coming from our government running it badly to make sure they can sell parts of it and or make certain places private.
So in other words, it's not really for everyone. Only those who pay in get it. How about that ever growing Middle Eastern population? Do they get it? I'm sure that's a source of discontent for many there, especially knowing that many of those Middle Easterners haven't paid in as large numbers of them are unemployed. Are they NHS "tourists" too?

Edit: I should restate - It's not for everyone. Foreigners are not welcome to it. Similar to illegal immigrants? If you're an American and can pay out of pocket, you will be paying? Need to understand better.

Well let's go back to the OP and discuss illegal immigration again
Seems you are turning a corner of sorts, from first post to last. "Problem" and "taking advantage"? But those sentiments are no surprise.

Brits see immigration as bigger issue

Believe me I couldn't agree more!

I have nothing against immigration, I am the son of immigrants from Russia!
I also understand economics and where there is a demand supply ALWAYS follows, hence cheap labor is necessary.

I do not complain about immigration though, I understand demographic transitions and the UK is undergoing one, the population is ageing and requires immigrants to make up for the insufficient replacement birthrate.

I just don't like it when people who consume cheap goods/services complain about immigrants supplying cheap labor, its simple economics, a lot people just don't seem to get it!

Your countries economy craves cheap illegal labor more than most, infact it wouldn't function without it!

So the best thing for our economy is to bring in cheap labor that is soaking up subsidize?

I just don't understand how you guys can say it's because we thrive cheap labor and not mention the million of Americans that don't have job. Sure they might not want a job an illegal might be more willing to accept but what kind of assistance are they getting in comparison?

And the argument, if you don't want to work at a place, someone will. Just seems like bull#. If I don't want to work at a place why can't that place fail and one that is willing to pay more be an expectation instead of a worker lowering his standards to meet the company?

It doesn't take millions of illegals to work those jobs. Besides, we have legal programs in place for foreigners to do those jobs.

A lot of people saying "your country craves cheap labor"... All countries are craving cheap labor. That's why American jobs have been outsourced like herpes since the 80's. It's a matter of corporations trying to make as much money as possible even if it's unreasonable to the citizens of the world. Your not supposed to lower your own standards to meet the standards of someone raping your wallet.

Iam a socialist.

I live in a country with socialised medicine and it saved me when born at 26 weeks and my 16 year old mum didn't pay a penny so all she had to worry about is me.
I wouldn't want to live in a place so anti socialist because it is the right thing to do for fellow man.
Seeing so many are Christian in the USA and seeing Jesus had so many socialistic tendencies I am puzzled why this is so?.
Why are you scared of socialism? I think some get socialism and communism mixed up.

Also I agree every western country has immigrants as a cheap labor force...you want cheap stuff? or do you want Americans picking carrots and you paying more for those carrots?.
Any nation that stops immigration completely will die off...more diverse cultures= a better country and a longer lasting one too.

It's not a fear of socialism. It's a fear of complete government control. We the US have proven time and time again (and every other world leading nation to ever exist) that greed of man will eventually take over and things will fall apart. So why give the controllers the best option for themselves? I agree that socialism is idea, if and only if corruption doesn't play a role but it always will. Conundrum.

Check out the Cloward Piven Strategy!

I don't think socialism has anything to do with it!

NAFTA, the Amero, this is all nothing more than the globalists design to take away the sovereignty of the United States so that their twisted idea of their New World Order can be put in place.

I believe in the NWO, I just believe they want it to be a socialized one.

This is America. We save our socialism for the stuff that actually matters, like covering corporate losses in the event of recession.

It's not just cheap goods that's the issue. Big business attacked small business the best way possible, deregulating itself and exporting jobs to countries without labor laws. It's soo much built up crap.
