Does my belief that it was shot down by Vietnamese armed forces count as a catastrophic mid-air event?

Personally I think a missile impact while inflight would qualify as 'catastrophic'. Or at least really, really crappy.

I like the new poll feature, keep them coming.

a reply to: SkepticOverlord I think we need to get Scooby and the gang for this one, or we are never going to know.

Remember folk, a few years back it took almost two plus years to find the French airline in the middle of the Atlantic after it went 'Missing'

Can't agree with that baldy statement, they found wreckage and very few bodies in less than a week. The Black Box was not so easy to recover. The Airbus had all the parameters available working except one. Getting to it was the problem. The French and searchers should be applauded for what they accomplished.

The MH370 is a different scenario.

None of the options.

The plane was downed by the chinese and when they realize they started this ass covering parade.

They began giving this stupid versions about the magical "flight path" in complicitly with the malaysian governmenet.

Of course this to avoid the internal and international embarrasment. The wrekage was found inland and quickly secured, thats why there is not a sigle piece of debries anywhere at sea.

I wanted to say shot down, but as there was no option I chose a new weapon tested!
It's quite funny that more people think Aliens abducted it as well

Edit: The situation itself is not funny though, I have to clarify that!!!

Great idea for a poll!

Edit: Mid-Air Event seemed to be hinting at technological failure so weapons test was more appropriate!!!

Peace SO!

Seen "Lost" have you?
My lottery ticket for that week with the numbers added together was very close to the number of missing people. It was off by 10. Too bad i didn't win.

Flight MH370 destined for Beijing Airport...
The same airport that received threats of terror such as a Plane being directed at main facilities only 4 days prior to the missing flight...
A flight that lost signal and communication, or failed to communicate and had signals blocked/stopped/cut off on route to Beijing Airport...

Is that enough for China to shoot it down???

Beijing Airport Terror Threat March 4th!!!
There were many more links in early March, China may have gone all censorship on google since then!!!

Peace Smurfy!!!

My vote would have been for A or B. Since its randomized you'll never know.

So if I didn't know any better, I'd say these polls are designed for the government so they can gauge how #ty there lies and false flags are.

Skeptic, I've enjoyed the polls thus far, but this is the first one I did not see an answer to that I could commit.

I believe the passengers and their expertise were the commodity. 85%
I believe the pilot was disgruntled with his government and crashed it without giving a reason just to make the world confused. 10%
I believe we will never know or we will know too late. 5%

Keep up the polls, though. Good times.

Before I cast my vote has it been confirmed that a large number of passengers, 30? worked for a company doing stealth research? If that fact is confirmed I vote they were abducted for technology. If not, the pilot crashed it.

I think it will be the most dull reason when they do find it, Engine problems or fire.

Think they are looking in the wrong place right now tho, i'd look where the islanders or oil rig workers saw a plane.

Hope they did not suffer long

China is 3741.46 KMS away from Malaysia, that's a lot of flying time to decide where to shoot it down?
So why would 'the west' want to put the plane anywhere, except on the course for China as they have done exclusively?
By default then in that scenario, the plane could only be on course for China as it should have been, and indeed a radar chart? shows that plane was headed that way. The but but, part is why the loss of flight parameters in the early stages of flight when it was a scheduled flight to China anyway? No need to turn off anything.
That could only mean that the loss of flight parameters not in parallel has some other significance.

And that is why I said Vietnam.

In the hour and a half it took to go off radar, it should have made it across North Vietnam, but the signals indicate that at that time, it was still over Kuala Lumpur.

There are two baseline choices

1) If the pilot acted alone its a case of find the airplane. Wherever it crashed.
2) If the pilot did not act alone he needed a secure place to land and conceal the aircraft. That requires lots of pre-planning and a co-operative airport. Having the internal location devices disabled seems like a real reach. Being able to spoof the position of the engines to lead the search astray would seem to be a real wildcard.
The US would have no need to take out the aircraft. If it crashed anywhere in the sea some thing will show up. there is simply too much float-able items on board for no debris field.

The information the public is being fed isn't complete in any sense. Radars only search where they have a reason to expect trouble. The IR eyes in the sky look for a much brighter signal. Otherwise every aircraft could set off an alarm. The system is trained to ignore aircraft exhausts.
Rambling response with no direction.

I say it was high jacked for future use. You may now return to your regularly scheduled program.

I believe that at this point it is better if people never know what really happened here.

No one will ever believe it.

Some things are better lost in time...
