Being a felony doesn't automatically mean something deserves the death penalty. We've all broken the law at one point or another, most of us have committed a felony. We don't all deserve to die for it.

Given what you've said about your guns and ammunition choices you're one stroke of a pen from being an armed and potentially dangerous felon. Should you die for that?

Let me help you:
Being a felon doesn't automatically mean someone deserves the death penalty.
Please excuse me, I had to rewrite your first sentence in
order to understand what you were trying to tell me.
I changed the word felony to felon, and the word
something to someone.
Now I am asking you if that is what you meant so communicate to me.

Really dumb guys, sound like really dumb guys, to really smart guys.

There are two different categories of felonies: person and property.
I will disagree with you that "most of us have committed a felony",
because most of us HAVE NOT committed a felony, or a misdemeanor.
Most of us have committed infractions and citations.

Criminal behavior exists on a continuum
1. Infractions-- parking tickets, toll booth, tail light out...
2. Citations--speeding, reckless driving,...
3. misdemeanors--stealing, theft, vandalism...
4. felony--assault, rape, murder, HOME INVASION.

Most felons commit 250 felonies for each one time they are caught.

Sorry, I've had a few days now of little sleep and long hours. I meant to say committing a felony doesn't mean someone deserves the death penalty.

People: The fundamental problem
90% of people are idiots.
100% of idiots are unaware.

We all think there's lots of dumb people out there, and we all tend to think we aren't one of those really dumb people. That's simply not possible.

Did you know being a day late on your car registration is a misdemeanor? How about accessing open wifi without the owners permission... that one is a felony. Our smartphones are programmed to do it by default too. If you've ever taken a decent walk around a neighborhood with your smartphone chances are you're guilty of a class three felony, you just weren't caught.

the criminal justice system: Jails, appeals, lawyers, defense attorneys, judges, probation officers, parole officers, sentences, visitors lists, commissary's, executions, are all part of the criminal justice system.

none of that applies to this situation.

this situation entails two known criminals, committing a felony
and having the law of castle doctrine applied to their carcasses.
Applied with extreme prejudice.

The only criminal justice expense now will be the salaries of
investigating officers and detectives, autopsy expense, report filing.

There might be civil justice sought by the surviving family, but i doubt it.

please explain to me how with my knowledge of firearms and
ammunition that I am one pen stroke away from being a felon.
please note that i have a pen and pad of paper at the ready.

Well, considering the government considers you a likely future terrorist it should be obvious.

And it's not your pen stroke that matters.

While that is perhaps true with the friends and family that associate with you,
and you with them, I will assure you that I do not associate with idiots,
and spend a majority of my time reading and working.

US burglars must be very thick.

I've always known, all my life, that burgling a US home is a really bad idea...and I don't even live there.

I remember hearing a story (must be 30 years old at least) about some hapless British tourist who hired a car over there and was driving somewhere in the evening when he broke down.

It was before mobile phones, so he had to get help; knocked on the first door he came to and got shot dead...they thought he was trying to break in!

I don't know if it was true or an urban legend, but I can tell you that no half-intelligent Brit would go near a US home without first receiving a firm invite...

I am undoubtedly on several government watch lists.
If you study history, when a communist/fascist government takes power
they usually begin their reign by killing the teachers,
administrators, doctors, nurses, you know the highly
intelligent people, plus they burn a lot of books.

If you are not on a watch list, you should be ashamed of yourself.

So what you're saying is that you associate with people who think like you. That's simply confirmation bias. I'm not saying you're an idiot but rather that your approach doesn't mean you aren't. It's possible you're simply one of the dumb people and the smart person sounds stupid to you. The same applies to me.

Just some food for thought.

you missed the point.

i was asking you to please educate me on the subject of how i was one pen stroke from being a terrorist.

since i was temporarily assuming the role of "STUDENT" and subordinating myself to your role of "Teacher" i advised you that I had my pencil, pen, writing instrument and blank tablet of paper ready to take copious notes per your instruction.

it obviously went over tho top of your head while you were standing on stilts.

That's great, smartphones are one of the worst inventions in the past 100 years. However, many otherwise law abiding people do own them and are guilty of unauthorized network access due to them automatically connecting to available wifi signals. That's a lot of felons. Do they all deserve to be killed for their crimes either after or while committing them?

Right?

And that's why these two Bin Laden protege, multi felon, scum,
homicidal maniac, incurable 5150 criminals are dead? Could be,
but why call so much attention to the obvious?

i am afraid that you will need to inquire of aazadan for the real meaning of that statement.

the only thing i wrote in that post follows:

Assessment of intelligence is nothing more than an opinion. IQ is a worthless measurement of anything other than how much you think like the text creators. Besides, IQ has nothing to do with being smart it's merely a measurement of how quickly you learn.

Intent doesn't determine the legality of an action. The action in a given circumstance is either legal or illegal. Motivations behind it don't matter.

That's a possible outcome. Despite appearances due to the partisan bickering in the US there aren't simply two solutions to every problem with one being smart and the other being stupid. A group of dumb people can have a dumb idea that still sounds dumb to everyone else.
