ATS chat room "unknown error"

Greetings. I'm unable to open the ATS chat room due to an "unknown error."

Are other members experiencing this issue, or is something wrong on my end of things?

Just curious, thanks.

a reply to: NarcolepticBuddha There is a thread about a few bugs happening on ats .It started for me last night around midnight and is still going on ..Make sure you copy your post before replying especially if it's a long one .I have had to go at it as many as 5 times before it would get posted ..

If you get that 'time out' message, just hit refresh/reload. It'll go.

I've never been able to connect ... All I ever got was "Connection Failed"

of course I haven't tried all that hard to get into chat but...

He's talking about with the posts. The chat room is down for now, but if you get the timeout error that we've been seeing with a post, all you have to do is hit refresh, and then confirm the resubmission, and the post will go through.

Skeptic overlord are you almost done coding that chatroom replacement? Im sure your would be a better option since this current one seems to die so often after a Attack on th e website.

Sorry, I was referring specifically to posting. Nothing to do with Chat, which I blissfully am completely ignorant about. If you get the session time out message when posting to a forum, refresh/reload and it will go through.

The Session Time Out error for posting seems to have gone away.

Would you guys in mod-land think about reinstating the box that used to be on the home page saying who was in the chat room at that moment? We used to have it a long while back and we could see the folks in the room before we went in. That would be nice. Thanks for considering it.

not only chat broken when i tried to log in all i got was most of the screen covered in a poll that would not go away
i bet it stops many coming on here

Just a heads up that wasn't working for me this morning. ATS was very angry but all seems well now.

That would take all the fun out of barging into the room, looking everyone up and down, then leaving.

I keep getting "Your request timed out. Please retry the request. " errors in the forum threads.

My end or ATS's'?

I can't get in right now no matter what i do.
I am NOT registering to anything as it says I should,I have enough accounts and am not about to register to a damn chat room to a site I am already a member of.

Any ideas or is chat screwed up?
Is this a glitch or a site problem?

Well, I haven't been in chat in probably a year or two, thought I'd go check it out, got in no problem but it's asking to to register an account to login? Is that just a repeat of the ATS account info? hrm...
