What's more Buzzywhig, I wonder why you are so hot to trot to debunk Agenda 21 ? Do you feel passionate about sustainability and being green?
Do you want to save the rainforest? Do you really believe it is benign or what?
Agenda 21 is real, I know that. It is a voluntary thing. I feel like you are baiting me, and I really don't see any point in trying to discuss it
with you because your passion reveals the inability to talk reasonably about it.
Yes, I feel passionate about sustainability and being green. Yes, I understand what smart meters are for; although I declined when I was given the
OPTION of having one installed. I keep my thermostat about 5 degrees warmer in summer and cooler in winter than most anyway, and unplug/turn off
things not in use. I recycle. I compost. I don't use pesticides or fertilizers, nor do I "water" my lawn.
The thing is that if we don't ration, we will run out. I care about the future generations, the rain forest, animals, and the rest of life on this
than I care about my own convenience. I don't even like people all that much.
I've been this way since I was a little kid. So sue me.
I don't want to argue with you. I'm not a waster, and I like bees and polar bears. We can't even figure out how human beings work, or how to get
along with each other - yet think we are capable of making good decisions about the ecosystem? (Because, you know, if we don't take care of it - WE
ALL DIE. So do your part voluntarily by conserving, reusing, recycling, repurposing, and stewarding, and there won't NEED to be an overseeing entity,
or anything to worry about.)
People who can't manage on their own to do what's responsible need supervision. I used to work with troubled kids - a colleague used to say to them,
"If you can't control yourself, others will control you." Think about it.
Reduce, reuse, recycle, repurpose, conserve, plan ahead, and leave a small carbon footprint. Walk, car-pool, or ride a bike. Grow your own or
forage. Don't overeat. Dress for the weather. Shop at thrift stores or yard sales. Cut down on water usage, electricity, gas, etc. Give away what
you don't need to someone who does.
Then sit back and have a beer and relax.
