Seriously, there's no funk but the funk from Doctor Funkenstein…





And at the time this came out, "Boogie Skating" (skating really fast, old-school skates, rubber-legging to the beat) was huge in the northeast. Flashlight was THE song.

I always liked this song, it's from the 80s though, so am not entirely sure how "disco" it is.


The song is good, but the video is weird and creepy.

Oh how I miss the days of "popera" and "Hooked on Classics", when you could funk out on a mean popular beat, and still get your high culture.

Man, that mixture was educational, pretentious, campy and explosive all at once.

Now that I'm much older, and also get some wine with the sound, it's time for some seriously simultaneous twerking and conducting.
