Government does not "create jobs" so that's just a down right lie off the bat.
Government can create a better atmosphere for job creation. But they really have not done that either.
Lies, lies and more lies.

Actually the government does create jobs in fact the government next to Walmart is one of the largest employers in the nation. Right now we have some of the lowest taxes for companies and he has cut taxes for small business several times. So the better atmosphere to create jobs is just another con job. He is telling the truth when he said Republicans blocked legislation that would create jobs. He offered American companies that moved overseas a tax break to move back to America and the Republicans blocked it.

The republicans who have held a majority..............

Oh wait.........they dont, and havent, in how long?

So how exactly did the REPUBLICANS block anything if they dont hold a majority.......

Just saying, people need to stop buying into this finger pointing bullcrap.......the dems AND repubicans in office are playing the American people for fools with this whole "Look what the other party did" bs.......

You are correct in that the government has created many jobs. But relying on government to provide jobs is a short-term self defeating issue because government jobs are paid for with taxes.

Well that's funny. He should have made this as first priority given the numbers back in 2008!! He should have started a major Public Work Program to employ and improve our infrastructure.

When did that happen??????...

Kratos

No cheers

Three words.......
SHOVEL
READY
JOBS

More lies even back then to get a bailout fo Wall Street.

It's like eating your own tissue/flesh to stave off hunger.

Gross analogy, but that's about as close as I can come to when describing "government jobs".

after the failures started showing up .....

Obama: Shovel Ready jobs not shovel ready (June 2011)

youtube link

(from Oct 2010)....

Mr. Obama also told the Times that he should have "let the Republicans insist on the tax cuts" in the stimulus, rather than including them himself, so the package would have seemed more like a compromise. The stimulus package, which the Congressional Budget Office said this year will cost $862 billion, included $236 billion in tax cuts. Nevertheless, the president said in the interview that he comes across as "the same old tax-and-spend Democrat."

When the president campaigned for the stimulus package at the start of his presidency, he and others in his administration repeatedly insisted the investments would go to "shovel-ready" projects -- projects that would put people to work right away. As recently as August, however, local governments were still facing delays spending the money they were allocated from the stimulus, CBS News Correspondent Nancy Cordes reported.

Obama: "No Such Thing as Shovel-Ready Projects"

Buster,
The government does not create jobs. They can make things easier for corporations to move to the US.
Now Government can make itself BIGGER thereby hiring more government workers but everyone should not be employed by the government.
No corporations are going to want to come on a promise from people who lie for a living.
Sure, taxes have been cut to try and sucker some to come in (back). However, the people who run these companies are in it to make a profit. They are smart enough to know that as soon as they come back and get settled in the rug will be snatched out from under them.

ETA: As far as your comments about "Republicans blocking legislation".............please step past the party lines, you are allowing them to become trip wires. They are all one party playing the American people off of one another.
Do you really believe any of them could block anything?
Then how did we get the PPACA?

Better than the strategy to shove off some 90 million people onto government assistance and hide them from the real unemployment numbers?

In fairness some liberals argue that welfare actually creates jobs and stimulates the economy.

Lies?

Deception?

They report you decide.

Is Obama a job creator, or a net job killer?

Real numbers don't lie.

Quite possibly the best solution -

Okay MIB, IRS, SS, NSA just kidding!

this is so stupid.

firstly, it's not the role of the federal government to "create jobs"...furthermore, the ONLY way the federal government can ACTUALLY create jobs, is to expand itself, thus necessitating additional federal employees...

so is this what he means? an expansion of the federal government, requiring the hiring of additional federal employees?

the federal government CANNOT "create" private sector jobs....and it always makes me shake my head, or facepalm, when people say it can...it's irritating to the extreme, that people actually believe they have that ability...

so either the president is saying that he's going to expand the size of the federal government again....which is no good for anyone.....OR he's saying that he's actually going to do nothing, but tell people what they want to hear, so he can put forth the APPEARANCE of doing something, so that the cheerleaders can say "look, the president is trying to something"

it's all so much nonsense...i wish we had a president who spoke plainly, and was honest, and did the right things...

Jobs are the #1 priority? Okay... How many #1's are there and who's handling them all? That's an often used phrase, and it makes a statement all it's own when it's enough to start standing out.

The “Bring Jobs Home Act” was an election year (2012) ruse and red herring.

The way it was written would have encouraged companies to open new facilities in a foreign country first, then bring it "back" to the U.S.

And even fully automated factories with hardly any "people" jobs would get the credits also.

The whole concept of tax breaks to get jobs out of foreign countries is the wrong way.

The “Bring Jobs Home Act” was designed by Democrats to fail so Democrats could yell and scream about Republicans.

The dead give away was the fact that Democrats did not do this when they had the power in 2009/2010.

They could have added it to the PPACA.

Democrats want jobs overseas. They get paid for it.

At the risk of sounding like the craziest person in the room, I'm going to say it anyways.

The purpose of technology is to reduce or eliminate the need for human labor. That is, to eliminate jobs. If you're trying to create jobs then you're resisting progress.

I want to see unemployment of at least 99%. If the 1% wants to create jobs, let them be their own slaves.

That is all.
