Interesting question actually which because of PC we never actually examine and all feel 'oblige' to run away from.
I suspect in the UK which has a huge influx of just about every concoction of humanity possible its still difficult for the English to accept a
foreigner who is not white calling themselves English, but what would one expect to call oneself if one was coloured but born in England?
I think that because people themselves have chosen to live with partners from other cultures quite happily and have produced children that the
question needs to be considered, 'can you ask who is actually white enough to be considered white today' because you could well find that whatever
one's physical appearance is, it may not display the whole of the genetic inheritance each individual actually has.
Perhaps for some 'unconscious' reason we are deliberately trying to strengthen our bloodlines to face a somewhat unknown, impending future we are
not so confident in.
