I have to admit that I thought he'd be different the first time around also. However, I learned quick that he is just like the lot. He just ran an awesome campaign.

BUT, I never thought he was a messiah or prophet, so I had no reason to feel so betrayed that my emotions ran wild with hate.

See, hate hurts you more than it hurts the person you are hating.

Hate? Not from me. Did people hate Bush? Did anyone call them out as "haters"? Was there even a thread such as this for it?

I think the term hate is a sly way of calling those that dislike his policies and his actions, bigots. You're just using the race card in an underhanded way. Then you go on to call it "obsession" which intimates people who disagree with his policies and actions are mentally unstable. Be honest.

Has anyone here ever read a thread on Sarah Palin?

Talk about rabid hatred from the liberals!

It's not just the libs that truly dislike Palin.

Honestly, most true "conservatives" dislike Palin and the entire Republican party.

Hey they're better equipped to judge than conservatives so what they do and say isn't considered "hate". It's sound judgement.

Yes it is healthy. Anything that helps to get the braindead public to actually start using theirs brains is helpful.

Wow! So many victims of the race card...even though no one pulled the race card.

I don't even know if I should take this serious. Are you messing with me? Really.

If you are serious, let me say that I don't like his policies anymore than anyone else. Let that sink in.....
Okay. But I don't spend my days spitting vitrol every chance I get. I don't think he's the messiah or the anti-Christ.

No imaginary little men are circling you, pointing and yelling racist! Don't let PC norms or the odd fellow drive you to be so paranoid.

Obama definitely has his share of flaws, but sorry, most of those preceding him had their share also, it's just that there is a certain measure applied in his case that to me, is just unfounded.

Anyhow here are my own thoughts and observations that just stay with me from the beginning of his run for president.

THE FOUNDATIONS OF THE HATE - YES WE CAN or THANK YOU SATAN?
(He's a Muslim with a ring that says something on it, He's under control of Jeremiah Wright a Christian, He's not an American, He wasn't born here, He doesn't look like one of us, He is a communist, He is the Antichrist, He is Jesus, He is Akhenaton, He doesn't put milk on his cereal)

Honestly when no one knew who Obama was, but they assuredly knew he didn't look like any of the previous presidents, they organized this group around an old and earlier cause, that had nothing to do with Obama, that was the organization of the tea party, when these people were running around with monkeys on their backs that clearly signaled to many what this bunch was about, out at rally's in the Pennsylvania woods, screaming racial epithets and yes this is before they could recruit the likes of Herman Cain to offset their very clear and proven beginnings as nothing but a bunch of prejudiced racist individuals, now hear me out, we know that entire image has been changed completely from the beginnings because they were a little over the top with their heart on their sleeves, showing their cards but they tricked the Republicans and weakened them and made it inside of congress , the sad thing is, you heard barely a peep out of these same people when the patriot act and many other executive orders were being drawn up and rights quickly being diminished, by GWB.

JUST LET IT GO !

I do feel that many of these same individuals and people who can't let go of those seeds planted of seeing just the image of Obama, his family or wife in the White House is a huge problem for them and it has caused a psychological disorder unfortunately or obsession as you call it, these are my genuine thoughts, and most of the other false conspiracy theories first thrown out there about Obama, many later proven untrue, added to the first level of just seeing a person of his race be their president, it just tore down all of the walls of their beliefs and feeling ingrained about race and who is supposed to be at the core of the power structure in America, many of them living in places where you will not find anyone that resembles Obama, or where there is, that person or persons could never hope to be in any high office because good ol boys run that town.

I know some will attempt spin moves, and try and explain it, but I am sorry, there was no love for Obama the candidate long before he became Obama the President by a great segment of people that unfortunately , were a bunch of sheep rallying around causes whose true genesis was really racial prejudice at it's core, now we can sit here and talk about all of the bad things or the good things of his presidency and pick that apart, but never has a person sitting in the White House had to be subjected to the level of scrutiny that Obama has, it really really proves my theory that in the eyes of many, their view of America or an American, is strictly based on their own racial stereotype, if you do not look like me, you can't possibly be as American as I am and certainly you can't be as patriotic.

IT TAKES TWO TO TANGO

I think just as much blame can be applied to the weak Republicans who have been serving while he has been in office and not being the least bit effective in doing their jobs to make credible arguments or policy that may have countered the Democrats, but yet all focus of the crybabies is directed towards the president, it really is laughable.

THE HATERS DELIVER HIM POWER - Continue to hate and elevate!

If you really believe in energy vampires, I can really see why the president for the most part has been so successful in implementing his ideals and policies, the people that hate him are directing their energy towards him and it makes him even stronger.

Being accused of racism because you disagree with policy is what we've come to expect from the progressive left.

Ah now I'm "paranoid" LOL So what is the value of this thread? What are we to get from it? Is this even in the "Rant" forum? Didn't check. Just clicked the link. If it isn't. That's where it should be. Seems like a rant to me. Have a good day my friend.

NAh, the Obsession with Bush was worst, the hate post the rhetoric, scrutiny and nick picking that went around while he was president was worst, specially when he made blunders on his speeches.

War presidents fear the worst.

"Neurotic obsession with Obama. Is it healthy?"

No it certainly isn't

Especially for the ultra-obsessive-hyper-fanatic supporters Obama had in 2008 and 2012.

All that fascination with the "hope-ium and (small) change" and the massive increase in the "nany-wana" mentality is definitely a problem for people now.

Now with many lies and failures exposed, the downfall has created a "silence of the lambs" complex.

Obama has been successful in forwarding his agenda of schadenfreude.

Alinsky forgot to write an anecdote for failure.

I guess he knew how to set people up.

Here's a good story about ultra-Left Wing Progressive Mania.

Big money and Big people involved.

Begs the question -->> who's really crazy ?

This weekend, a shadowy leftist group named Democracy Alliance will meet in Chicago to figure out a way to thwart conservative rivals.

As the adage goes, imitation is the most sincere form of flattery.

While top liberal organizations blast the right for accepting dark money, the Alliance’s entire business model is based on maintaining secrecy akin to the Illuminati. ............

Seems like there was more "allowed" hate on Bush, because people from political abhorrence to music didn't have to worry about being labeled racist or other when voicing opposition. Then again that's why a Bush v2.0 was selected(or some would say groomed from a young age/CIA parent) not elected.

bush... as in George W. Bush, the 2nd George Bush; well... was different than obama in terms of his policies.

Iraq kind of sealed a lot of opinions in regards to George W. Bush... not to mention the deficit he left behind. The fact that he was the son of a former president who also sought miltary action against Iraq, and etc, probably contributed to it. The failure to prevent 9/11, and the conspiracies that 9/11 brought to the table also contributed greatly to some of the hate.

Obama on the other hand has been kind of hit or miss... he hasn't started two wars, but hasn't done much to really stop them. We only got out of iraq after the iraq's basically told us to get out, we're getting afghanistan in much the same way...

HW Bush on the other hand is underrated in my opinion, fixed the mess left by ronald reagan at the cost of being re-elected.
