So Fox and friends are at it again.

This time, an editor at Scientific American named Michael Moyer made the following Tweet:

The Raw Story article had this to say in part:

Thursday’s segment titled “Scientific Coward” began with a photo of Moyer and Cyndi Lauper’s song “True Colors.”

But the Fox News hosts seemed to miss the message about climate change because they spent most of the time talking about co-host Brian Kilmeade’s theory that there might be football on other planets.

In wonderful Fox fashion the adhom starts immediately, attempting to discredit some who according to Fox & Friends:

Clearly he has a problem with Fox,” Doocy opined. “So why did he come on? Clearly, it was just to promote himself, and maybe his magazine as well. But, you know, hashtag classy. We put him on, we have a nice conversation, and then he stabs us in the back.”

It's no wonder we can't take these people seriously when the morning talk show host is willing to effectively liebal another professional, on national television because he told the truth. Well I suppose I don't know whether or not it's the truth, but I certainly believe it.

Considering, as the article continues:

A study released by the Union of Concerned Scientists earlier this year found that 72 percent of the statements about climate change made on Fox News in 2013 contained misleading information. That’s an improvement from 2012, when only 7 percent of the statements were entirely factual.

Fox is not interested in providing factual information to it's viewership. It promotes the narcissism, ego driven culture of ME ME ME ME ME and IT"S NOT FAIR!!

They are in the business of propaganda, much like all the other MSM news outlets. They only difference is they aren't trying to hide it anymore.

But, I'm just starting to get used to slower moving weather systems that dump continuous rain over a period of days now instead of a little bit in a couple of hours.

Just keep ignoring the effects all around us, maybe they'll just go away.

What I imagine will happen once it's literally too late is that Fox news will run the headline:

Liberals ruin world by not doing anything about Climate Change.

Agreed!

However, Fox and friends is kinda like watching Oprah. Except there are Three idiots spewing forth their opinion like they are facts versus one!

Let's face it, when you have 3 to 5 Corporate conglomerates running our news outlets, and most of our government officials bow down to the dollar versus representing the people we have what is called "Propaganda" versus factual news!

I crack up thinking about it Tenth, because what you described in your OP is something I have thought about many times while watching our so called "NEWS OUTLETS"!

Rarely do they actually report news and facts! But they sure do have plenty of panels of old ex government cronies sitting around feeding us their "OPINIONS"!

We see their talking points spewed as facts on ATS every day!

EDIT: I must also add that regardless of what news outlet anyone watches, pay attention to the amount of BIG PHARM adds on ALL of them. Yet we wonder why we are the sickest and most unhealthy country in the world? Come on!!!!! Money and power talks! Our government officials get it and so do our so called news outlets.

There are literally zero credible news outlets left in MSM period. Every single one pushes an agenda, and every single one lies and twists facts to fit that agenda. If you really want to get factual news in this day and age you are forced to look for yourself and sift through alternative news outlets.

Actual news and facts don't bring in the ratings. High ratings is where the money is at who cares if they tell the truth about anything or not.

Very true...There isn't much credibility. But maybe it's just the illusion of credibility that Fox News doesn't have but other outlets do?

Let's take MSNBC for an example...the anchors and pundits appear normal, truthful and honest...as the lunatics on Fox news are more...um crazy. Just take Sean Hannity, or Bill O'Reilly, or Anne Coulter as three nutty examples and the other pundits and talk news programs on Fox...well...it's like they live in another world than the rest of us.

On MSNBC either they are too smart to have a controversial guest on that they would have to tell that to (Tell them to pick another topic)..or it's kept below the radar somehow ...and rather than just appear to be insensitive and offensive and untruthful...they are merely ...annoying.. like Rachel Maddow for one. Don't know if I spelled her name right. She's just too annoying to listen to or watch.

Yeah the reality is if you want to know whose running the station, look at corporate sponsors, the commercials they air and the types of guests they are willing to promote.

Scientific American would be like Federal Express or the Federal reserve ...aint much federal about them and as far as science is concerned they are more of a political gatekeeper ..

" Scientific American writes:
As a profile of Judith Curry in the November 2010 issue of Scientific American makes clear, the University of Georgia climate scientist has become an increasingly polarizing figure IN the past year or so.…

Yet Curry herself is convinced that some of those facts are seriously exaggerated, and that the IPCC has failed to acknowledge the real uncertainty in the science.…

She’s been denounced, sometimes vehemently, for her efforts.
So here’s the central question: Is Curry a heroic whistle-blower, speaking the truth when others can’t or won’t?

WUWT smeared by Scientific American’s Bora Zivkovic
This tiff started because of this story by Tom Nelson yesterday, followed by this today. This post is my first involvement as all this happened without my involvement or comment until now. I don’t even care that I wasn’t mentioned, but I do care when I’m libeled.
I have just one thing to say to you, Mr. Zivkovic:
Prove your assertion of “gaming” led to an undeserved win, or retract it and issue an apology.
wattsupwiththat.com...

Note to Scientific American’s Bora Zivkovic: “If you want to practice censorship, at least learn to spell the name of this blog correctly” Bora Zivkovic, the blog editor at Scientific American (and much more), posted a must-read analysis of the shift at The Times, noting the importance of sustaining the paper’s Green Blog. One administrative issue, of course, is who would manage that blog without a desk? In my reply to his post, I said that all roads lead to the Science desk. In a comment, Dan Fagin of New York University predicted that the paper, due to “organizational culture and especially economics,” was unlikely to adopt Zivkovic’s prescription. I hope you’ll explore the conversation and join in, there or here.

(There is one odd element there, a posted comment that was removed and replaced with this note:
“This comment removed by blog owner, due to inclusion of a link to ideologically-motivated anti-science site What’s Up With That.”

If I censored every comment on Dot Earth that had an ideological framing, or was in some way anti-scientific — think GMO debates, nuclear power, etc. — there wouldn’t be a lot left. I know that leads to frustration and some noise, but I err on the side of free speech. On a related front, I’ll be writing up a piece this week on research finding that incivility in comments amplifies polarization.) [1:55 p.m. I asked Bora about the comment policy. His reply is in a comment below.]

Why I don’t subscribe to Scientific American any more wattsupwiththat.com...

Posted on August 24, 2011 by Anthony Watts
It is because of beyond stupid fear mongering like this:Are Category 6 Hurricanes coming soon?
Really?
Lest people think this is some sort of “new” fear, I’ll remind them of this from 1969, well before CO2 was bogusly posited by Al Gore and other alarmists to be a “hurricane amplifier”:
From Yahoo Answers:
Hurricane Camille in 1969 broke the equipment at Keesler Air Force Base (home of the Hurricane Hunter aircraft) in Biloxi, MS when her winds reached somewhere around 205 to 210 mph. So we’ll really never know just how high her winds were.
Read the complete history of Camille here at NHC (PDF)
wattsupwiththat.com...
I looked through a number of blogs, some of which were refugees from last year’sadvertising debacle over at ScienceBlogs. Interestingly, there appears to be no blogs about climate.
The filter selector has no category for it. In “Energy and Sustainability”, as well as “More Science”, I looked also, but found none on that topic. Perhaps the powers that be at SA realize that climate is not a topic for the meek, as it often gets very ugly and contentious, and it just isn’t worth the hassle.
Or maybe, climate is falling off the serious science radar at SA?

Scientific American still running false warming story wattsupwiththat.com...

UPDATE: At 5:30PM PST, it appears SciAm finally realized they’d been had and pulled it.
Of course earlier today, the Guardian and other publications saw the problem and pulled this story:

None of them are credible anymore. Want proof? Just go to google, youtube, or your favorite search engine and type in your favorite MSM news outlet followed by caught lying. The results should make anyone sit up and take notice. They all do and they all get caught, but the general public still willingly eats the garbage that they spoon feed them.

WUWT is a blog that does have both sides of the argument ongoing, and some really good contributors. I think it is fair to say that Anthony Watts is not convinced about.. perhaps not so much about climate change, which is really something that is happening all the time, but the 'Global warming' AGW causations as a trend, from the point of view that the recent historical basis, (as in the gathering of stats, etc) is flawed. It should be remembered that even in this last IPCC report, one panellist refused to sign up to it. On the other hand, it should be remembered too that politicians are not intrinsically eco-warriors, far be it in fact, unless there is a consensus view that it's gonna make them look good and fill the coffers at the same time. That is not an easy trick. Then the scientists in the thick of it all, the UEA and collaborators got caught with the naughty e-mails, and also threatened online bloggers. That was bad do's on their part.
As far as Fox is concerned, they are a non-entity to me anyway, and anything controversial is beyond them, a bit like looking at the headline of the English 'Daily Express' and remembering the last time they used the same headline, (one of their favourites is about Dementia cures) who needs it better..except they don't in truth.

If it's about ratings I would think MSNBC there wouldn't even be an MSNBC. The truth is getting harder to find than hens teeth on any MSM (Main Stream Marketing) channel. Someone said in a previous post you have to sift through alternate news media on the net to find the truth. Long live RSS it's the only way, then use a fine tooth comb.

Climate change is a scam, I truly believe that whatever is happening on the planet now is from an external source (not including DARPA antics) the more I think about that whole Planet X conspiracy, and all of the weird anomalies, of the Moon and the earths magnetic fields, I don't think anything is incoming, I think that is because our existence and knowledge of time is so limited within the scope of any cycle of the scope of 25,000 years anything they tell you is only based on their mathematical calculations, but there are things they cannot account for using only math, especially concerning the precession of the Equinoxes, but someone has recent knowledge of what is happening and they want to keep their lips sealed about it.

I believe that our Solar System is moving towards some large body or planet, star system or sun not the other way around and the closer we get is affecting our planet and it is only going to get more severe.

I also believe that the whole 2012 theory definitely was given too much hype, but I think that there could be some margin or error in the timing, NASA knows something and will not tell, just that simple, not unless you are one of the scientists that do have one of the high clearances will you know otherwise except for what they want you to know, as with anything that the government would like to censor or control the release of information.

The NWO wants to use this climate change scam to blame it on more people and overpopulation, but it's a cover up.

Here is some good reading

I am sure having a weather station on a airfield tarmac that gets dailey doses of Jet Aircraft blast would not affect the records eh . lol The global warming doom porn people count minor deviations from the records that they themselves adjust to help get higher readings means nothing lol . The fact of the matter about the AGW proponents is that none of their predictions have come to be ...But hey I have my faith and I respect your religion ETA and anthony watts is a fraud because the youtube said so .lol
