I trade in the stock market. Stocks, stock options, ETFs, and futures. I have a fairly sizable account for my age (for any age actually), and if Afrezza(MannKind) gets approved by the FDA on the 15th of July, which I can't really see a reason why it wouldn't, beings it was essentially unanimously approved by the FDA advisory panel, and the FDA almost always goes along with what they say, then I will be a very happy man, but I'll have to buy my friend a Rolex for the tip, lol.

I dont have a real job, I dont have to work at all as I come from a very historical family. I do have a lot of investments and partly own some businesses however. My interests include music (I am a composer), writing poetry and longer works, philosophy, the arts in general; film, photography, painting, and psychology, politics.

Even if I did believe you, you're essentially telling me you got handed everything on a silver platter and didn't work for any of what you claim to have. I don't give a sh!t what your "interests include" either. Let's hear some of that music mr "composer". Yes I read your posts, you were missing the entire point of what occurred these past following days with this story. You can have your opinion. Everyone can have an opinion and it can be anything, everyone can have a problem with everyone who acted the way they did in the wake of the news, but my side of the argument is that the right thing occurred following the news, and it appeared you were on the other side.

It doesnt matter if I worked or not...im white, I deserve it, my ancestors have innovated and made great contributions to society. How much does your stock trading benefit society, could you not be replaced by a machine?

I cant imagine anything you creating being worthy of existing, and I couldnt imagine you being worthy of experiencing a work of mine.

You are most definitely not white, sir. How much does stock trading benefit society? Is that a real question, or are you just f**king with me? First of all, what do you think would happen to the world economy if the NYSE just up and vanished? Secondly, when you invest in stocks, you invest in the company (or you can also invest in other things like ETFs, with are just a bunch of similar companies bundled up into something that you can buy or sell, also stock options and futures etc which I wont get into right now), and then that company can use that money to further or better themselves or their products, in return you own a part of the company, and if they use your money wisely and do in fact better themselves or their products, the stock price will likely go up and you make money.

I mentioned MannKind earlier, one of the companies I own shares in (10,000 shares right now, but as it gets closer to July 15th it might be closer to 20-30,000), their company has one product "Afrezza", but like I said, it has yet to be approved by the FDA (although, it very likely will). Afrezza is an insulin inhaler for people with type 1 and type 2 diabetes. People who have diabetes now have to inject themselves with insulin every day with a syringe. I'd imagine that must suck, but also there are people who can't inject themselves for various reasons. Afrezza will help all of those people live better and hopefully happier lives.

That's, in part, why the stock market is so important. And to answer your question, yes, they can replace me with a machine, giant banks and corporations already have and they collect huge amounts of data and make millions of transactions every second, but that's not going to help me, or the average trader any. At least, until the machines come down in price,....by a lot.
