a reply to: Rocker2013 Word has it that Russia's trip to NK was to forgive the multi billion dollars owed to them . In return North Korea will allow Russia to build a pipeline to the south .....All the vilifying of Russia and Putin is not working and before the US can hold the moral high ground they need to fix what they broke . Iraq ,and others as well as stop propping up such brutal regimes as they are well known to do .In short they need to deal with their own problems at home . Get rid of the influence the neo-con Zionist have on them .

I thought you were supposed to call the Americans and their allies "Nazis" now instead of "Zionists!" Get with the program. In any event, it's good that Russia can find a market for their gas now. North Korea could sure use gas supplied at below market prices.

This piece is worth a read Towards the End of U.S. Propaganda

Hilarious! Every footnote is to an article by the same author!

a reply to: DJW001 Some writers build on previous articles . I haven't looked to heavily into it all but thought I would share it and let others decide if it has any merit . Sometimes it's possible to have a predictable future scenario that has never been recorded before hand .Kind of like predicting the gold market when hitting new highs based on other factors .

Some writers do actual research. Others just make things up and quote themselves to make it look like they've done research.

a reply to: DJW001 Well being slack in doing homework seems to be a issue with the new york times most recently been correct but after being contacted by the photographer of the pictures of the Russian troops operating in the Ukraine . The error was front page said as fact but the correction was stuck way in the back of the paper .Even supposedly reputable organizations can miss the mark big time .

I would say that in a few months we will see a new competitor. This is the type of sanction that will go back to bite the US.

But under sanctions any new competitor would also be forced to comply with those sanctions. A company can't just start up tomorrow to do what Visa and MasterCard have now been legally prevented from doing.

The alternative would be a Russian company, but even then it would be frozen out of US business.

Sanctions are not imposed on only specific companies, they are generally imposed on all the avenues those companies operate through. No new company in the US or Russia will have any advantage over those already restricted under sanctions, nor should they ever.

Actually Russia is starting a credit card venture (it has been on the cards for years but this has hastened it (excuse the pun my friend), VISA and mastercard have raised concerns to the US government that due to sanctions by the US they will lose Russian Market totally.

US-based financial services giant Visa International said Monday it was concerned about the future of its business in Russia in light of new legislation on a national card payment system in the country.

This is no different to any other new company starting up in a national sphere.

It will not be able to function outside of Russia, and these sanctions will exist regardless of that new company.

Visa and MC had better suck it up and deal, I have no sympathy for them losing out on the Russian market. That's what happens when a country invades and threatens another country, they lose business, they gain sanctions and other corporations are forced to comply. If Visa and MC don't like it, tough titties.

Russia preparing to test-run joint railway with N. Korea: Seoul official

SEOUL, April 30 (Yonhap) -- Russia appears to be preparing for a test operation of its newly renovated railway linked to North Korea, but the economic feasibility of South Korea's joining the logistics project remains to be seen, a Seoul diplomat said Wednesday.

The project is part of Russia's ambition to set up a rail road linking Asia to the Eurasian region. Last year, South Korea agreed with Russia to extend the track to South Korea.

You can tell S.Korea wants in on that deal as well. But I'm sure their US handlers won't allow it.

No, you do need a perception of being the innocent party wanting to avoid war.
You cannot jump in willy nilly, you sit on the sidelines and interfere covertly making sure war is inevitable, then at the last moment you run in to save the day.

^^ This right here is what America has been doing for decades, at least back to WWII. America is nothing more than lies and deceit hidden behind a mask of chivalry.
