You laugh when the MSM is warning people about the weather..?

Perhaps "laugh" is a poor word choice. I think what the poster is trying to say is that for those of us living in Tornado Alley, this is an annual event, watching out for storms that can do massive damage. It's when msm gets all breathless and drooling over the possibility of massive destruction that it becomes ridiculous. "She can tell you about the plane crash with a gleam in her eye." Don Henley's words come to mind.
We are not unmindful of the weather, we just don't get all jacked up about it any more than the residents of our northern borders get jacked up about snow storms. We want folks to be safe, sure, but for those of us who have lived here for most of our lives, we know what to do. Get to safety when the threat approaches, when the threat is passed, get out and help the neighborhood clean up the damages.
In our neck of the woods we were fortunate to only suffer some flash flooding during last night's storms. From the look of the radar at present the most active cells will miss us. After making that assessment, several local farmers who can't work the fields due to the rains loaded up their chain saws and a change of clothes and headed down to Arkansas today to help out there.
Our thoughts and prayers go out to those affected.
