Im not kidding it was really her, on "parks and recreation".

the messed up thing? not just her being there but shes actually good!!!

But seriously, real live political people on comedy tv shows? i find that pretty disturbing. They really should not be on common tv shows however funny and decent.

she was on restaurant impossible and as much as they tried they couldn't keep all the secret service goons out of camera shot and by the looks of it everyone else had to be about 20-30 ft away as well

I'm sure it's just a political strategy to gain popularity or symphaty, directed to a well defined kind of people. I'd like to watch her in a TV show like "Cosmos". I mean....., out of the "Confort Zone".

Why is it disturbing? Many politicians (including presidents) have been on comedy TV shows.

Nevertheless, starting already with Ford, Presidents of the 70's and 80's decided it didn't hurt to do a little lightweight comedy on TV, no matter if it was brief. And the master of family comedy for decades on TV--or, specifically, NBC--was Bob Hope who so happened to be friends with every President from FDR to Clinton.

They really should not be on common tv shows however funny and decent.

Why not? They're no better than us. They are as "common" as we are...

Politicians are still humans, they still do stupid shiz.

Assuming politicians are some superior entity is the problem in western country.

some people treat their politicians as gods.

That's because most shows nowadays have an agenda to push, and most of it is left leaning. Politics should never be mixed with that stuff. SNL is the worst.

We've had a president, some governors, and other assorted politicians who started out acting and many presidents have been on TV in an entertainment capacity.

Besides, she's the spouse of a politician but she's an attorney. I've never heard of any rules against a lawyer acting in a show.

I can't watch it now but a preemptive thank you is in order. I love Zach Galifianakis. I'm sure I'm in store for a hard hitting substantive interview.
