So Bundy is a Racist?

See that's the issue here. You are thinking of this only in terms of how it will effect the Bundy family. The points I am trying to make are painted with a much broader stroke. In other words, how will the events at the Bundy ranch effect the country as a whole?

They set up free speech zones. You don't see how that is laughing in the face of the first?

Armed militias were involved. You don't see how that involves the second?

The thing is, the Progressives took the "Race Card" and ran with it. As they usually do!

The idea of him standing up to the Feds has now taken a back seat to him NOW being a Racist.....

My issue is why hasn't anyone on the right painted the left as hating and not understanding the elderly????

That's the first I've heard about free speech zones. And I said what I think is going to happen. Basically, nothing. Bundy will have to obey the law and pay his taxes just like the rest of us, or face the consequences.

This was my point in my initial post - His support is going to take a big hit after some of his comments.

The meaning and interpretation of someones comments are powerful things. He needs to be careful about what he is saying - Whether those comments have been misinterpreted or not. If he loses the public support, he loses everything he's got going for him.

He's made these mistakes himself by even addressing some of those issues. He needs to focus on his issue and his cause, because it's Bundy himself that is steering the focus away from his own fight.

I honestly don't think this whole story will go anywhere. Next week, it will be forgotten, until the feds find a way to either arrest the guy or confiscate his illegally-grazing cattle.

It seems to me that those whom scream the word "RACIST" the loudest, are those whom are the MOST guilty of perpetuating "Racism"! Ignorance seems to always have a way of going away if we just stop paying attention to it, doesn't it?

I cannot see racism in these words, he asked a question, are they better off as slaves, because they didn't get any more freedom, they got less freedom. That is his opinion surely.

Mr. Bundy recalled driving past a public-housing project in North Las Vegas, "and in front of that government house the door was usually open and the older people and the kids - and there is always at least a half a dozen people sitting on the porch - they didn't have nothing to do. They didn't have nothing for their kids to do. They didn't have nothing for their young girls to do.


"And because they were basically on government subsidy, so now what do they do?" he asked. "They abort their young children, they put their young men in jail, because they never learned how to pick cotton. And I've often wondered, are they better off as slaves, picking cotton and having a family life and doing things, or are they better off under government subsidy? They didn't get no more freedom. They got less freedom."
