I think that if it were actually the Cloward-Piven startegy there would be a a guaranteed annual income by know.

What ever is actually happening might share some characteristics but I think Cloward-Piven get's thrown around way too much.

But the brilliance of that Ponzi Pyramid con game was to never actually get to a "no poverty" goal.

The entire plan was to keep the debt based banking system thriving.

Countries with "less" debt are still in deep debt.

Eventually they will fall as they always do.

A Pyramid scheme is a Pyramid scheme.

All those "great" societies are just as busted out as anybody else.

The whole concept is a banker con game.

But is the banker con game the same as the Cloward-Piven startegy?

I can kind of believe that they could have snuck it in under that name and premis but, not really, because I don't see it as something that was really accepted.

Cloward-Piven is part of it.

The banking Ponzi Scheme needs debt to survive.

The Middle Class primarily funds the welfare.

The high taxes keep the Middle Class in a constant debt cycle.

It's an endless loop.

See, now your adding things that were not part of the strategy proposed by Cloward-Piven just to make it fit.

I do not get it, how is receiving something that you pay for an entitlement? - See more at: www.abovetopsecret.com...

Because people are not 'paying for it'.

The employee is paying 6% of the social security, and medicare contributions.

Someone else is matching that contribution called the employer.

Then since people are getting more out of those than they EVER paid in things like 'alternative minimum taxes' was created.

Followed up by things called the medicare 'surtax' on capitol gains.

None of the above covers the revenue short fall so they print money out of their snips.

That still doesn't cover it so they borrow money from so called 'allies' like Japan, and China.

That still doesn't cover it so they scream at the tops of their voices 'RAISE TAXES on them bloody evil rich'.

Now see if people 'were' paying for it they would be PAYING FOR IT.

The reality is THEY ARE NOT.

Hence the world 'ENTITLEMENT'.

Those who expect something for nothing.

Everything depends how the system is run. In US the main problem I personally see is the for-profit companies inbetween, who are inflating the prices to extremities, which leads to very high costs of services, which leads to higher national debt. - See more at: www.abovetopsecret.com...

For profit ?

FOR PROFIT is the 'main problem' ?

SERIOUSLY ?

Taken a good GD look at that 'non profit' single payer, universal healthcare programs called medicare, and medicaid ?

That has over 100 million people on them. Which makes the US government the largest health 'insurer' in this country.

No single 'for profit' private insurance company has that many. That rightly BELONGS in the private sector.

Because it destroys jobs, destroys wealth, and is no where near capable of funding itself.

Same GD thing with that 'non profit' thing caledl social security.

I am a bit confused by this response, as I thought Cabin was refering to the for profit services like pharmaceuticals.... the private sector, which the medicare sorts of programs then have to pay?

The same medicine (same maker) has a vastly different price tag in the US and here in France. That means that even one person on medicare, with the same treatment, is going to cost a lot more to the US public system than it will to this one.

Oh, okay I had to read it several times, shouldn't have responded so quickly. You are FOR such companies like pharma getting rich off of sick and old people.

I just didn't expect that.

Let me explain you how the system is run here.

Government pays the taxes directly to public hospitals, who are required to cover everyone. Doctors are basically government employees. The total cost of it is over 5 times lower than US one. The only cost is a symbolic 7 dollars every citizen has to pay on initial visit to a specialist, the hospitals are not allowed to charge more, except for hospital stay, which is around 15 dollars a night. All this comes for a 7,5% payroll tax, the companies pay on their employees, this covers every current, as well as future medical cost.

I do agree US salaries are higher, yet US is paying even more than countries who have higher salaries, but the difference lies in these countries everybody receiving healthcare without extra costs, taxes cover it all.

Something is rigged in the system. On one hand, of course salaries are quite high, although at the end the costs still are too large for the average american than to an average person in any other advanced nation, even in nations with higher/similar salaries. Your government is paying 1,5 times more than any other country in the world, yet you still have to pay significant amounts out of your own pocket.

Near to every healthcare service costs significantly more in US (even though EU standards are generally higher), either the system is run very badly or there are too many middlemen inbetween taking advantage of government covering the costs by setting the prices significantly higher than their actual value a´la pharmaceuticals, when an insurance company is inbetween they have to cover their staff costs, medical equipment etc. The for-profit part of the health industry is taking significantly more money out of the US system per capita, than from any other country.
