I just reached the 250 mark and still I can't reply on the thread.

Why?

At this point I'm thinking it's because I'm whitish .

Must be due to ongoing upgrades at the moment. I guess ya just got to wait it out and see.

Mine doesn't have a reply to the thread either (the icon on the top right and bottom right of the page), but there is a reply to each persons comment. I've had certain topics, not random threads but the whole topic like posse comitatus.

I also can't reply to that thread. My cursor turns into the little hand showing that I can click something, even though there isn't anything there. And clicking doesn't do anything.

Yes, it the allowance factor. Not everyone is allowed to post to some forums. You can get there, but it takes some postings and other stuff to acheive posting status to some.

Im sure a MOD or SO will be along here to explain...

Nef is updating the streaming content to put old episodes of shows other than ATS Live in the mix, it's probably due to that. If it's still doing it in a day or two, send him a PM.

My bad. The post count requirement is 500. Used the ATS search function.

Can you reply to INDIVIDUAL posts in the thread?? Have you tried that or is that not showing up also??

I'm not sure about minusinfinity but I can reply to individual posts. The only issue seems to be the inability to post an open reply to the thread.

I went to start a topic the other day and the post button wasn't there. I even refreshed and everything and no post button. I was a little sad.

Aaahhhhh...gotcha...Might just be a little buggy. I was trying to read this particular thread twice earlier and got booted off the internet twice. Interesting about the 500 posts. I didn't know we needed so many!

I don't have a reply button either OP for the link you provided. I posted on a thread last night with the same problem...just pick a person to respond to and hit reply in their box and it will let you post. I'm way over 250 posts so I know that's not the problem

ETA I just hit 500 posts and now the reply button is there so above poster is correct

Thank you megabogie for the confirmation.

I can see the logic behind the post count requirement for certain forums and with the current threads ongoing I don't see it being a problem to get there eventually.

Some forums have the 500 post requirement.

The 9/11 forum has a requirement that your WATS score be at least 10 to start a new thread, and yours is only 3 at the moment (It's the number next to the trophy icon at the bottom of your mini-profile, says "their way above top secret score" when I hover my mouse over it). That's one of the most strict forums to start new threads in because there were some problems with the forum when the requirements were lower. Here's the post explaining requirements for that forum:
