U.S. Senator Ron Johnson (R-WI) put out a lawsuit a few months ago challenging parts of the ACA that apparently have been added or changed significantly since the law itself was passed into law.

Points about the delays and the special treatment for members of Congress and their staffs are cited.

It's possible that the PPACA has changed enough already to make the original spirit of that law null and void.

Many people agree that the ACA has so far created more victims than beneficiaries (and that could get much worse).

The ACA as we see it now is not what was intended (or was it?).

Johnson now has other Republicans signing on to a legal brief in support of the lawsuit.

Maybe somebody should come up with a ratio comparing the boondoggled failures vs. the things that have come out smooth and slick.

Thirty-eight Republican lawmakers, including such unlikely bedfellows as John McCain of Arizona and Ted Cruz of Texas, have joined to support a lawsuit challenging the legality of the Affordable Care Act and accusing the president of repeatedly ignoring the law he signed for political reasons.

The lawmakers have signed onto a legal brief in support of a lawsuit filed by Sen. Ron Johnson, the Wisconsin Republican who is asking a federal court to overturn Obamacare’s special treatment for members of Congress and their staffs.

“The unlawful executive action at issue in this case is not an isolated incident,” the brief states. “Rather, it is part of an ongoing campaign by the executive branch to rewrite the Affordable Care Act on a wholesale basis.”

Republicans uniting? McCain is on board? WHAT? Did hell freeze over?

This should be a real clear message to everyone that Obamacare needs to go away at its earliest convenience.

Naw...I think it's a clear message that the GOP finally found a hymnbook that they can all sing from. No biggie.

It's about time Congress crawled out from under the rock they have been cowering under for fear of being called racists, killers etc by the Obama administration. It's about time they challenged the numerous clearly illegal multitudinous Executive Orders put out by Obama to circumvent the constitution and the legal ways to create law.

Obama should be thrown in jail for all the illegal executive orders he has used to clearly usurp congress and his clear attempt to create a dictatorship.

I hate Obamacare.
More than you can imagine.
It is awful and devastating to many in this country and it will get worse.
It is the biggest financial disaster on the modern era.

HOWEVER, unless there is something in the wings to replace it...how can they repeal it at this point?
Millions and millions have had their insurance taken form them and must now rely on ACA.
Many more are newly insured.
Still others have had their insurance revamped to go along with ACA mandates.

How can anyone even think to pull the rug out from them?
Half the country would be uninsured.

Nothing will come of this.

When the Republicans countered Hillary Care in the 90's what they offered was essentially what ObamaCare, a requirement for everybody to purchase healthcare.

There might be one or to representatives who actually want it repealed, the rest will just act like they don't like if ObamaCare is unpopular to their voters.

ObamaCare is a gift to the Health Insurance industry, nothing short of a civil war will repeal it.

The courts have already declared it legal. This is all about getting votes for the GOP. This will go the same way as the birther's argument. Instead of wasting tax payers money, maybe they should devise a better healthcare plan and present it to congress! This is nothing more than grand standing.

The same way they implemented it. And as far as I'm concerned, since most doctors will not accept this insurance, they are equally insured without it. Possibly more since they wouldn't have to fork over the premiums. Moreover, the entire purpose of insurance companies is to develop risk pools and soften the cost of healthcare over a larger diverse group of people. If Insurance Giants want to cherry-pick their clientele, then screw them. Go back to a cash system and do away with them. They will change their mind real fast.

Bottom line, federal government should not be involved in healthcare. Or anything that doesnt relate to the Constitution, defending the country and fostering a healthy economy. Macro issues only. Micro issues should be handled at the state and local level, because when people dont like whats going on, they will take their representatives to task. As you can see, there is literally no accountability in the federal government these days.
