On one hand, we are seeing a serious decline in morality and it's not the gay issue in society either. It's everything from open and near pornographic
level sex on 'prime time' or at least off hours of major programming channels to violence so extreme and beyond anything this nation knew as a taboo
when I was growing up, I've literally stopped watching most movies and almost all TV. It's just...repulsive. That's about the only word I can give the
levels of sex and violence. The two are often mixed in ...'creative'..ways these days, too. Just not what I even call entertainment anymore.
It's all just entertainment. But you made the right decision about it. If you don't like it, don't watch it. I've stopped watching much of television
programming and movies as well (albeit for different reasons, the primary one being that the quality of the programming has dropped significantly over
the last 10 or so years). I just can't stand it when people try to push their own version of morality on to others because whatever it is offends
them. Especially when this so called offensive thing isn't even harmful to others. It's much easier to just ignore it, not to mention makes everyone
else happy.
On a whole different (and maybe inter-related) side is the dark corruption and inner rot of our core economic and market system. A lot of
factors for that, and I agree it goes back to 1913. As another member pointed out to me a while back. central banks as the forerunner to the Fed go
well back into the 19th century in this nation, and so to does the corruption they've wrought.
Ah yes, you are referring to the First and Second Banks of the United States. I've been thinking about writing some threads on them, Alexander
Hamilton, Andrew Jackson, and the war of 1812 to name a few (all of those topics are related to the two BUS's). I just need to complete the research
and write them. This is why I think that ATS DESPERATELY needs a history forum. There are so many topics and conspiracies that happened in the past
that continue to affect us today, yet we don't have an official place to discuss them. It's either ancient history or modern topics. As a big fan of
history, I know I'D get a lot of use out of that forum.
2 sides, IMO...and religion has it's place. We're just a nation where all religion has it's place. That's what I think a few too many come to
forget and it puts a nasty face on what honestly is a profoundly positive thing in most Believers lives. Whatever major Faith they believe
in.
Yes, religion has its place, but I don't see Jews trying to make the Torah an official state book, or Muslims trying to put Allah on our money and
pledge (of course the pledge in general should just be discontinued, statist brainwashing that is). It's ALWAYS Christianity trying to push this into
people's lives or make everyone live with their religion in everyone's faces. Their argument always seems to boil down to, "Well it's always been this
way," but that doesn't make it right. Then when another religion
(
Satanism) tries to hand out
pamphlets (which are for a good cause if you read the link I provided) to children NOT on school grounds, these very same Christians who get offended
when we ask to take God out of the pledge or have God removed from our money, get offended by this act,
citing separation of church and state for why they can't do it. The hypocrisy is
sickening. Then Christians like the guy we started responding to wonder why I tend to have a chip on my shoulder when it comes to this
religion.
