I'm so done with everything vote. I'm fairly sure tptb know who is going to be president and who is going to sit in each seat for the next 8 elections. Heck, they no doubt hand picked the progeny of those yet to be born even. It's all disgusting, it's all planned. We truly get no say in my opinion. I'm done with the entire game. If I vote again, it best be one awesome candidate. but alas, if I like him or her, they won't get in. Anyone who is truly for fixing this crapshoot up is never going to get into any office ever.

Sorry for the pessimism but I'm so done with this bullmalarky. My vote or lack of vote won't make a difference. 100% of the USA could vote and it won't make a difference.

blah.

i dont view myself as anything really.. cause i am back and forth on topics but i strictly stick to what the constitution states.. for me there is no middle room.. if it worked for us for 120 or so yrs... then it had to do something right...

WOW!!!

For some reason, I find that statement AWESOME!!!!

Well said SIR/MAM!!!!

120 years? Really? Of course it could be all those missing years that left you unaware of the scores of amendments.

What if we got rid of labels.

Find three things everybody could agree on and start there.

Term Limits.

To make a new law you must repeal 5 old laws.

No outside money. All candidates are given equal amounts of money.

Restore one Right or Liberty everyday.

There are a few....Feel free to add to the list.

lol I took the test and it says I am a centrist. I am fine with that because I do not buy into any party line completely. They all have some good ideas and they all have some bad ideas. I examine each issue on its merits and not by what a party says I should believe.

If you are interested then this is a much better quiz as it goes in depth more.www.isidewith.com...

Anyway here is the screenshot from when I took the test from your link.

Well as I've said before I'd rather go with anarchy but we all have to make sacrifices.

Defense - Sure about 75% less than current levels.
Legislation - There's enough worthless laws & regs to last a 1000 years.
Adjudication - Local and state can handle this.
Law Enforcement - Sheriff department & US Marshall's, call it good.
Infrastructure - Local and state.

FCC, FDA, EPA, OSHA, BLM, SEC, FDIC, FTC, IRS, DHS, NSA, CIA, FBI, dump them all. It will be a mess while we sort things out but it's a mess now (and a catastrophe of biblical proportions.) End the Fed first. Treasury can stay.

I know this will never happen though, we'll probably see a full blown revolt and internal war first. Maybe some good will even come of it.

I agree with you on some things, disagree on others.

Idealistically, I hold Libertarian ideals. Reality however is totally different. On a purely idealistic level, Libertarianism, to me, is the best possible system. However, for a truly Libertarian society to function, and function well, it would have to be populated by people who are not only independent, but who are also moral (not the religious/Christian definition of moral, but truly, and humanly, moral), ethical, altruistic, conscientious, intelligent, innovative, enterprising, rational, peaceful, adaptable, flexible, and responsible. And most importantly, people must be able to think, visualize, plan for the long term, and the big picture. Unfortunately, in reality, none of the above apply to 99% of people on earth. Quite the opposite, people are: greedy, short sighted, selfish, immoral, stupid, lazy, intolerant, and dishonorable. The will crush their fellow man when he falls, and strip him bare. They can't see beyond next week, or even next quarter, let alone the next generation. The only thing keeping people from eating their young is regulation, sadly. Remove regulation and any sort of boundary, and you would have a society not that much different from the ones in Africa, which are virtually anarchist. The only way a truly free market could function is if it were a market fueled by decent, evolved people who think broadly, cooperate with others, and are ethical in their doings. Something corporations, business people, and humans all around are not.

However, as we see, government regulation does not keep people safe. The FDA does not keep our food and drugs on the market safe. Most of our food is loaded with garbage and poisons "approved" by the FDA. And the medications? The majority of drugs on the market today already have horrible side effects, most of which are worse than the diseases they treat. The EPA? Oh, sure, I might not have a nuke plant in my backyard. Instead, I have fracking, farmers dumping craploads of herbicides and pesticides into my water supplies, millions of acres of wilderness being chopped down for the development of yet another mall or McMansion development. And then we go to things like law enforcement. Because we let regulating bodies dictate so much, we have cops busting down people's doors and hauling them off to prison for nothing more than enjoying certain plants that have been used recreational and medicinally for thousands of years, or for consensually paying another person for intimate services. We have kids left in horrible homes with horrible families that abuse, neglect, or use them, while kids in pretty decent homes get yanked out because of some stupid ideological "crime". So CPS is a failure. Animal cruelty goes on everywhere, and is only punished lightly. So government regulation and control is an epic fail, too.

The truth is, we have the current mess because it is exactly what we deserve. What system of governance, and the people running it, that we have is a reflection of us as a society. Keep blaming politics and politicians all you like. They and the rotten systems they promote exists because of all the self absorbed, lazy, greedy, small minded intolerant, irresponsible, and immoral people it was custom designed to satisfy. Until people change on a fundamental level, don't expect anything better.

I really do like the Libertarian philosophy. What I think is fascinating is that you can have socialist tendencies and be Libertarian. Look at Noam Chomsky.

They're just going to tear you all down again. They pull a few of your candidates to the left or right to fill a few holes, then spit you and them out via the press and bs rumors or stories to scare the hell out of the public. Both sides do this, they don't run Liber policy. Both sides hate it, even when its right.

So then if voting is a waste of time (and I'm not disagreeing) then what's the alternative except political power of the last resort? I'd like to see America try one last time before it falls though.

Yeah Ron Paul got screwed, most often by his own party from what it looked like to me and then the media. Wish he would have gone independent at the least.

I just want a politicians or government leaders to do what the majority of what people want most people want most people want and care about the same things but I doubt we will find any politician anywhere who give a damn about the people paying their wages or what they want.

I wish we could keep firing our public servant masters until one was found that people could agree on or hold the ones accountable for the wrongs they have done to a country police and legal system fail , no one will look out for us but to speak out and protest makes us the enemy . Sadly every country is the same.

Even with Egypt going as far as they did to up root their government are still not happy ....

This day and age one should need very much money to run for a seat or office with mass media , internet.. why not ban tv ads and attack ads that waste so much money , hold massive debates and let the public figure who they want to hear more of I don't care for ads or attack ads I care about platforms anyone and everyone should be allowed to run.

I think the system to only have rich people to have a chance to run a country was the downfall of many nations in the west seems every decade it is made harder and harder to impossible for a working man to afford to compete with corporate donations from their friends in high places. Don't bite the hands that feed you and what politician has gone and targeted the companies that helped fund them into office .

We are all boned and screwed everywhere on the planet by our masters going from one elite to another elite .

Do you have anything constructive to add or are you just going to continue throwing out ad nominee attacks unfounded in any reality but your own. "Free stuff", "handouts", etc, Breitbart talking points are all you've got I guess.

What theantediluvian wrote was well presented and absolutely spot on. There's a lot of talk in these boards promoting a Libertarian government but no one wants to delve into what that actually looks like. My guess is no one can get past their freedoms to hoard guns and to stop paying taxes. What happens after that?

Nice way to be biased, I just proved that there was someone the people wanted and got screwed...
I am to the point where a vote doesn't matter.. Actually come to think of it.. The voting machines.. Why do you think they want them?? No paper trail to prove you voted for bob instead of jim... You can swear to god you voted for bob but the proof says you voted for jim...

Basically this..

I'm not sure I know what you're talking about any more than you do!
I never used any links to Breitbart talking points, if I did, please point it out, I missed it.
If I upset the Progressive anti gun side of your's, GOOD!

If we need to pay taxes, then a Flat tax is more to my liking and those in Washington need to held to that amount to spend.
I'm not upset, that you are, No, Not at all. It just proves our point, when threaten to take away your Pacifier's you've been sucking on all these years and your world in falling in on you.
Who's going to be there to operate that Red Light Camera, 55 mile an hour speed limit when towing a trailer or pull the coke and candy machines from the schools?

Poor babies, Curl-Up and Hug Your Knees, It Coming!
