Wasn't sure where to put this. Did a search couldn't find anything.

I would say this is good news for a change, for you all in the USA.

Heres the Link www.sltrib.com...

It’s time for Western states to take control of federal lands within their borders, lawmakers and county commissioners from Western states said at Utah’s Capitol on Friday.

More than 50 political leaders from nine states convened for the first time to talk about their joint goal: wresting control of oil-, timber -and mineral-rich lands away from the feds.

"What’s happened in Nevada is really just a symptom of a much larger problem," Lockhart said.

The states are the problem. They're not efficient outside of maintaining basic infrastructure and the average American has to pay for this lack of unity.

The states are the last candidates to get federal land IMO. They are too vulnerable. They can be brought to default. Then what, have the FED buy the land back from them? Auction it off to the printing press? The states are partly obsolete, America's strength comes from it's federal unity.

This is BS. What a waste of time.

Thanks for sharing this...S&F!
The #hit is finally hitting the fan and the Feds can all go back to Washington DC for "re-education".
Next is ending the Federal Reserve and Crown control!

There were a few interesting comments in, and responding to the article you linked.
From the article.

Ivory said the issue is of interest to urban as well as rural lawmakers, in part because they see oilfields and other resources that could be developed to create jobs and fund education.

I'm not sure that the people in the western states, especially the ranchers, had this in mind when demanding state control of federal lands within their borders. I could be wrong...

From the comments:

don't know about the other states, but there is absolutely no doubt that the Utah bureaucrats are incapable of effectively managing Utah's wild lands for the benefit of future generations.

Secret meetings held without the public and without the press on Friday afternoon to discuss giving public lands to donors, oil companies and developers.. Otherwise a normal Friday afternoon at the Utah Capitol.

These liars claim they're working for the people but they really have the interest of their pocket books in mind.

You do realize the states have all the power yet " roll over " to the fed.

The Federal government was established to manage world relations not to dictate to the states.

I find it humorous that it is called " federal land " when said land is IN A STATE....

That would make it THE STATES LAND... WOW look how simple that was..

The Federal government would be non existent if the states grew a set of brass nuts and told them to go pound salt.
