Two Poems

This is a big step....while i journal all the time, it's private. I've only ever shared my poetry with two other people.
ATS seems like a good place to start opening up


The eye in my mind is wide awake
Wind rushes through my soul, verifying my intentions
Body vibrating to the point of madness
Getting outside is the biggest challenge
Balconies breathing, half alive
One million bicycles awaiting my descent
Jump


No one believed in my utter despair
Hypothermia setting in
Can everyone be so blind
Uncaring and unkind
Hands grasped heavy on my heart
Wringing every inch of devotion from the roots of my soul
Before I slip in to the abyss know
I tried and yelled at the top of my lungs..as loud as I could!!
Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!
The one I least expected replaced the one who was needed most
You met me at my darkest hour and reassured all would be ok

First. I wrote a poem about jumping last week... i'm not going to share but what a coincidence!

Second, you should share more. Your work is good. The first better than the second IMO

The first is my most recent and the second was my first (saw a thread that reminded me of this one tonight), that's still around anyway. Lost a bunch of journals moving throughout the years, unfortunately.

Offering an opinion about a topic that has nothing to do with me directly, that's easy. Posting from my journal, that was frightening! I sat for about 20 minutes debating whether or not to hit post, glad I did.
