It seems, as usual, the most interesting topics are not covered in the MSM, big surprise.

I hadn't been following the Bundy Ranch situation closely, though of course I was aware of it and did read updates from time to time.

I hadn't really been aware of why the government backed down, the reason seemed to have been obfuscated, though I'm sure some here covered it.

I would have thought open warfare with hundreds of activists would have given the government a great excuse for further crackdowns and laws, I wonder why that didn't happen?

The Southern Poverty Law Center, not surprisingly, was hard at work spreading lies and disinformation about the confrontation in Nevada, painting a picture of fractured patriot groups and militiamen with “little training” going to face unstoppable Federal BLM agents and likely “ending up dead.” The SPLC insinuated that the movement was ineffective and in over its head.

The reality was much the opposite. Liberty groups arrived in droves and were staunchly unified — not by a centralized leadership, but in defense of the basic moral principles outlined in the U.S. Constitution and Bill of Rights. Sources on the ground at the Bundy ranching operation relayed to me that at least 1,000 activists and militia members arrived over the weekend, with many more on the way

This one event proved certain points:

Sorry but I call B.S.! Do you really think those "points" were established, accomplished, or proven? Did you even read them?

Hell, I couldn't stop laughing after reading the first one, much less the other three.

1.) The liberty movement is not afraid to put itself in harm’s way for the right cause — even if this means facing off against highly armed government thugs.

What an absolute Joke! Unless of course, "strategizing to put your women out front" is your idea of bravery;

It certainly isn't mine!

This is what "facing off against highly armed government thugs" actually looks like;

So do people not believe that charging grazing fees are a fair and proper thing to do?

The most recent BLM backdown could have been for political reasons.

It is an election year.

But the brilliant psy-ops strategy by that retired sheriff sure made it look like the government was scared.

Then again, the BLM failed to get the cattle problem solved two years ago too.

That failure happened without any protesters around. The BLM did it all by themselves that time.

One problem the BLM had this time was how to get the cattle off the land and into the auction market.

The plan was to go to Utah, but Utah refused

The BLM had no time for whatever Plan B they might have had because the herded cattle were running out of food and water. That's one reason they turned the cattle back over to Bundy.

Very complex situation with all the legal conflicts of interest between the Federal, State, and Local authorities.

It reminds me of Abbot and Costello.

Ah I see the government shills have arrived........the Bundy ranch standoff is NOT about the Bundys any longer.....
so get off the pot and realize the liberty movement has taken root in America once more......as in 1776, good people have had enough......look for many more confrontations to come ......and maybe there really is hope for liberty in America once again....I for one applaud the actions of the resistors and will be ready when the time come to be part of it.....

Bundy's "lofty goal" is to not pay to graze his cattle. Follow the money to get to the root of most controversies. This is a story of Greed.

All the other groups that have attached themselves to this situation have their own agenda, no doubt. But Bundy just doesnt want to pay his bills.

The mid-term elections aren't important to what's spooling up. The men behind the curtains are in fear ... and it's the smell of that fear which breeds desperation.

The government is desperate to downplay what happened at the Bundy ranch.

The MSM are desperate to ensure no voice speaks. Even Faux has tempered the words that should've/could've been said.

I would think the reason the government backed down is because they didn't want to confront the Bundy supporters because someone would likely get hurt or worse. Most likely, the Bundy supporters. My guess is the BLM left to let the people cool off and go home, then they would take a different tack to get Bundy to pay his bills. No need to start a war over some dude who thinks he's special and wants special rights...

How many times are these "freedom fighters" going to be willing and able to return to the Bundy ranch to support him? The government, however, can afford to come back time and time again, until the Bundy boys don't show up anymore, then they can arrest Bundy, as they should, and confiscate the cattle that are grazing for free.

Yes, I read the points, why else would I post them?

1.The liberty movement is not afraid to put itself in harm’s way for the right cause — even if this means facing off against highly armed government thugs.
2.The liberty movement has the ability to field a response team or even an army anywhere in the country at any time within a couple of days.
3.The liberty movement has the ability to change the course of events, even to the point of removing Federal agents from a region who are acting in an unConstitutional manner.
4.The Federal government is not invincible, nor is it unfazed by liberty movement opposition. They worry about our strength and ability.

Seems to me like these points were accomplished, maybe only two hasn't been shown conclusively.

I didn't hear the person on Fox say they would put the women out front, I just heard him say many women would end up dead, presumably caught in the crossfire. Also, with Fox who knows maybe this guy was some kind of plant, intended to make them look bad, if he did say what you claim.

Also, I don't believe that standing up to government thugs only means standing up to tanks or other heavy weapons, obviously the act of standing up to government thugs is a continuum and includes all sorts of acts, small and large, and not just the extreme on one end.

It is appalling to see how much support Bundy has. Here you have a millionaire rancher who has been stealing for 20 years and he is a victim? This is complete nonsense.

Bundy is pretty much the definition of a moocher.

If he is seen as the one being oppressed in the United States, there is little hope of people waking up to see what the actual problems with society are.

I thought Socialism is bad?

Why does Bundy get free land rights and expect tax payers to pick up the check?

Are you guys conservatives or commies?

Show me something more convincing than a former sheriff from Arizona who is a new face (to me) at Bundy ranch. All the footage that I've seen, including the one where BLM agents said they'd shoot if the protesters came any closer, the men are up front.

... Do you know what communism is?

"a way of organizing a society in which the government owns the things that are used to make and transport products (such as land, oil, factories, ships, etc.) and there is no privately owned property." www.merriam-webster.com...

This "liberty movement" would do good in being organized.. but they are not. They have already been infiltrated and now they are known... those who have infiltrated them (fed) now know who they can shift a problem to when bullets start flying. The state govt is already washing their hands.. much like Pontious Pilate.

Freedom fighters in 2014 are sort of dense ...Im discovering. The dumbing down of America has definitely been a success. Theyve learned nothing even when its a cause they want to put their life on the line for. Sad, really.

Yes I learned my definition from Obama detractors.

Faux idiocy is a bitch, I know

But it doesn't change the fact the Bundy is a commie looking to get gimme gimmies

This goes beyond grazing for free. This is overreach of federal gvt and illegitimate federal power trying to trump state. You only seem to understand the surface of this problem... or what MSM has told you the only problem is.

The irony is that the "freedom" movement is being financially backed by some of the biggest corporatists in America. Men who cry out freedom and equality and then turn around a buy politicians, circumventing the intent of the founding fathers.
Our system wasn't put here so some oligarchs can have the FREEDOM to buy the American political process.

The freedom fighters are a b it beyond dumb, I think it is intentional to champion idiocy, because who can successfully argue with an idiot?

OK,

If it is an overreach he can go to court, that is what the constitution has established.

And maybe if many of the states didn't support slavery and Jim Crow we would need to have a power federal government.

You are not understanding what I am saying.
I do not agree with you that these people are wrong in the least. They simply are going about it in an uneducated way. Our dumbing down was by design, so those who would stand up against overreach of federal power would repeat the mistakes already made.
