The plank "Confiscating property of rebels and emigrants" can be interpreted in different ways.

The "emigrant" part is actually the opposite of "immigrant". In other words it means going away not coming in.

Many people apply the confiscation of property of an "emigrant" to be taking property from somebody leaving a country.

In Bundy's case as well as any other affected ranchers involved with BLM land problems it could mean "an emigrant" leaving the area. Marx never did distinguish why somebody would "leave" or "exit". Nor did he define a reason for leaving. Voluntary or Forced come to mind.

Complicated but it sure does apply here doesn't it.

The "Rebel" would be somebody speaking out against the government, as blatantly put forth by Harry Reid and his terrorist comments. Reid has actually set up a "justified" confiscation possibility.

Confiscating property of rebels and emigrants - if someone tries to leave the nation, the Socialists take all their stuff. If someone speaks out against government, government can take all their stuff.

reference the Marxist ideals

America as we knew it is melting methinks.

Those 10-Planks are a little more real than the politicians would have us believe !!!

You do realize that conservatives have been saying the same for seven decades now... The Soviets died off in the 80's and Communism is not a viable political system, how you underestimate your political opponents.

those people out there want a fight, they have been waiting for this. they are riled up thanks to right wing media garbage funded by BILLIONAIRES who's wealth has doubled since Obama 'the taxing socialist' took office...gimme a break. the guy needs to be arrested and every man with a gun pointed at federal agents as well. if this same situation were happening in an inner city,a black neighborhood...they wouldn't give a you know what....this is deeper than what it on the surface and they will lose. they asked for this drama and its going to end well for their movement.

Pseudo Conservatives perhaps and probably so.

The pseudos are clever and fool many people.

Genuine Conservatives rely on individual independence as opposed to collective management by multiple bureaucracies of government.

Anything authoritative and/or totalitarian is Left of Center.

Many "Republicans" are actually Left Wing, just not as much as most "Democrats".

And I am well aware of the differences and similarities.

btw, how did the "Soviets" interpret the 10-Planks?

Love it how Bundy supporters are all over with their rhetoric. Completely ignoring that this fellow is using land that is not his and refuses to pay less than 2$ / month / cow. If he wasn't allowed to graze there he would be paying a #ton more. He is nothing but a freeloader and a thief. Feds should just take his farm for what he owes and if any supporter resists just give them a ride to jail if they live through. Using force of arms to steal is as bad as it gets and is exactly the reason why responsible gun owners are being frowned upon.

So, if someone owes the federal government money for a fee, not taxes, they should without warrant be able to militarize and use force/violence to take his rightfully owned home property? Then, any American who views this as government tyranny should not be allowed to protest and should be taken to jail or as you would prefer be executed?

The BLM started the violence by militarizing its response. So you know, the intent behind the second amendment is not so people can hunt or just own them responsibly, it so the American people can prevent tyranny.....the tyranny you prefer.

We can see that you haven't even attempted at least once to review the facts that were clearly presented and that the BLM and Federal Government is in the wrong on pretty much all current issues. There are probably 25 or so threads on this particular subject, some in favor and some against, but a lot of the threads in favor of Bundy present some pretty damning facts.

How you can still side with government after numerous sources, and even the people involved have presented is beyond me.

edit: I see you aren't from the United States, so I can see why you don't understand this situation.

I agree. Reid is a traitor to patriotic Americans. All he does is spew hate, division, and lies.

During World War 2 when France was occupied, a group of freedom fighters joined together to fight as a resistance. They called themselves the Maquis. Our government is occupied. I say it's time for the Maquis to rise again.

There's some more evidence that connects Harry Reid to at least 2 judges in the 9th Circuit Court that were directly involved in two cases from 2013 involving the orders against Bundy.

The July 2013 case order found in favor of the BLM was signed by U.S. District Judge Lloyd D. George

Judge George has obvious ties to Harry Reid.

Then, we have U.S. District Judge Larry R. Hicks, who signed the October 2013 order against Bundy

Judge Hicks also has obvious ties to Harry Reid.

Specifically obvious is a case where a man was convicted of illegally bundling campaign money for Harry Reid and was sentenced by Judge Hicks who blatantly ignored sentencing guidelines.

Hicks said he was deviating from the sentencing guidelines that suggested a minimum of 41 months in prison partly because of Whittemore’s history of extraordinary charitable giving — an estimated $12 million over the past 20 years, much of it to promote medical research, athletics and education at the University of Nevada, Reno. But the judge the crimes were too serious to justify probation without prison time.

This new fox article has some interesting tidbits concerning Sheriff Gillespie and Reid. I wonder why he isn't running for Sheriff again?

Before the ranch standoff, Gillespie's reputation was relatively unsullied. Earlier this year, Gillespie was named by the National Sheriff's Association as the winner of the Ferris E. Lucas Award as Sheriff of the Year for 2014. The award has only been given to 18 people since 1995 -- and there are 3,080 sheriffs in the country.

Gillespie, though, surprised local residents when he announced late last year he would not seek a third term, instead saying he would finish out his second term through the end of 2014.

Sen. Harry Reid, D-Nev., also presented Gillespie with a Congressional Proclamation for being selected Sheriff of the Year. Gillespie's closeness with Reid has recently made him the target of vitriol-laced accusations by Bundy's supporters, who have called him a turncoat.

Hey everybody! Im listening to Kevin Whal in Las Vegas he found out the BLM is regrouping at the Marriot. Employees at the hotel confirmed there were approximately 140 checked in. He's following the rumor of a raid being planned on the ranch. Reid is saying grandmothers and boyscout protesters were carrying automatic weapons!

I'm 99% sure he said Marriot, because of the reports of many police overseeing the BLM agents "protection" (lol protection) Im still listening to his show now. I'll try to update if he says the location again. Listening to the callers though, they are pissed. Dean Heller is trying to get hearings as to who gave the order for the BLM to go in so heavy handed and why they responded in this manner.
