In the UK 275.000 people disappear every year, that is like the whole population of Plymouth (SW UK) vanishing.
Many leave by themselves, many are killed.....and morgues in the country have a thousand bodies waiting to be identified. Children are a high number of those people that have disappeared. 71% of 13-17 missing are girls, but they usually come back after a few hours or days. Most children that disappear in the UK are from single parents families and have no siblings.But men predominate the statistics: a staggering 73% of missing people are male aged 24+.

Some, like teenage girls, come back quickly...some come back after a couple of years. Some have been killed. Some trafficked. But there are still thousands whose disappearances don't make sense, and the mystery about them is never solved.

And that is a scary thought, cause we live in a society with CCTV cameras everywhere, GPs, Pin numbered cards, social media......etc...how can people still vanish?

You have to be careful with those "missing persons" reports. The statistics don't account for the number of people who turn up a few days after the "missing person" report is filed. The numbers are grossly misleading.

I own all of David's books. If you haven't read them, I highly recommend them. They are frightening reads.

I am of the belief that there are more human traffickers around the world than what we think. People are being kidnapped, brainwashed and then sold like cattle. For what purpose? Slaves? Sex Slaves? Torture Porn? I'm sure some of the missing Women are being sold to prostitute rings. Missing children are being sold to kiddy porn rings and so forth. Its a horror movie come to life.

The easiest prey for these human traffickers are tourists, hikers and campers. In other words, people who are out of their element.

I'm sure some of you here have heard of the Deep Web that is only accessible via the TOR browser. There are "Kidnap Ring" websites there where people are selling human beings. Some of them are honeypots ran by the FBI, however, if you dig deep enough, you'll find the legit ones. Its scary.

There is nothing supernatural going on here. Its the vile evil acts of humans on humans. In other words, an Alien Abduction would be a better experience for a lot of these missing people.

I would LOVE to read his books, but can't afford them You can't even find them second hand and if you do, they cost more than when they were originally printed. If anyone does want to purchase his books, go to his site and not Amazon or anywhere else where the price is jacked way up!

Perhaps you can share some of the more intriguing cases with us.

Strange enough, about 90% of the cases are damn near identical. They almost always share the same type of characteristics. For example, a family is out camping. Their 5 year old son goes missing. Tracking dogs do not pick up the scent. They refuse to track the boy. A huge storm comes hindering the search so its called off. 1-2 weeks later, the boys corpse is discovered high up on some mountain ledge, naked and his clothes folded up neatly next to him. No signs of abuse (sexual or otherwise) - The report will state that the boy died from exposure. How does a 3-5 year old boy get up a Mountain where even experienced climbers have issues getting to?

At the time of him missing, the family was next to a creek or river (some sort of running water) and there will be a briar patch nearby along with berry bushes.

The times that a young child or toddler goes missing, the parents are usually ALWAYS within talking distance. The parents turn their back to their child....and a few seconds later, turn back TOWARD their child, and he/she is just...gone. Missing. Vanished into thin air.

There are A LOT of cases in these books that describe ALL OF THOSE characteristics and similarities. Its eerie how a "huge storm" happens to roll through soon after "whoever" goes missing. The briar patch....berry bushes....running water......so strange.

Its like...a Ninja, or some invisible entity swoops in and kidnaps their victim RIGHT BENEATH the parents noses.

The books will send shivers down your spine and make you never want to go into the woods again.

Sadly, all of the cases are 100% true.

In one of his books, there are cases from British Columbia where Shoes/Boots are discovered in very remote parts of the Forest regions there with FEET inside of them that were cut off at the ankle. The Shoes/Boots are sitting next to either too, like whoever it was, was standing there and had their feet cut out from under them.

David stated in one of his books, how him and a friend were exploring a wooded region around Mount Shasta. He said they came up upon this small clearing within the Forest and all of a sudden, everything got quiet. So quiet in fact, that you could hear your heart beating. The birds stopped chirping. The regular Foresty noises ALL stopped. So they did a test. His friend walked a few feet ahead and he said that the Forest noises came back. Meanwhile, David wasn't hearing ANYTHING when he was just a few feet away from his friend. In fact, he couldn't even hear his friend talk. When David walked to where his friend was, the Forest sounds returned. A dead zone perhaps? Native American's talk about similar places.

Quite scary huh?

So my question you my friend, Night Star, and others, what in the hell is happening to these people? (specifically in David's books) ?!

Fascinating and scary as hell!!!! I have listened to some of David's interviews on youtube and we had him here as a guest on ATS. I'm not sure what the hell is going, but it sure is strange. I hope there are some up-dates soon on this.

Ive heard that he has finally come up with a theory or two and he'll present these in his next book.

I just hope that David has not lost his way like many other authors do within the "Unexplained" realm. You see UFO authors do it a lot. I just hope that David doesn't take the extreme Supernatural/Cryptid route on this. I do not see David taking a UFO/Alien Abduction route, but I *CAN* potentially see him taking a Sasquatch route (he did write two excellent Bigfoot books after all)

...but hey, these cases are strange and they do have a "Supernatural" vibe to them.

Damn that is kind of insane. Really makes you wonder. I need to check out these books now.
