I didnt take the test because I would consider myself along the same lines as RP, that's why I added my images above there..

I believe the constitution is the rule of law.. Anything outside of that is just garbage... Except the Declaration of Independence...

None of them .. I follow my own path have no need nor use for any damn governments or leaders .. its my life I live it on my terms not the terms of others.

World would be much better off if people realised all governments and leaders are useless ..

It gave you the option to pick another choice and if you didn't like any of them, you could write in your own. I did that with a few such as minimum wage. I would really like to see a wage based on percentage of profit and highest payed employee (including their bonuses and perks) system. The CEO wants a raise? Then all the other employees get a step in pay as well.
Small businesses with a profit margin of a certain percentage would be exempt from a minimum wage.

Unsurprisingly, the two parties I seem to side most with are the Libertarian and Green parties.

Let's see....

Green Party: 65%
Libertarians: 61%
Democrats: 38%
Republicans: 26%
Socialists: 16%

I filled in a number of answers myself, so I did not really get too good of matches.

I was only surprised that the Green Party was my top one. Maybe I should research the Green Party more to find out why. Never had any particular interest in them.

The last two don't surprise me. The only two issues I am in line with republicans on are immigration and gun rights. The only thing I can think of for the socialists is my preference for some sort of universal healthcare, though at the state, not federal level.

Any REASONABLE, INTELLIGENT, THINKING person SHOULD say they take EACH issue on its own, as we all know that both sides are not always right and not always wrong, just as we all are. The labels that people choose for themselves or each other sets limits and creates pre-existing biases for themselves and others that view them with their attached labels. In these contrary times, the labels seem to be worn more proudly and shown in larger than life sizes, creating the division our country feels so strongly as of late. Battle lines are drawn, fighting words are mouthed, and little gets done that isn't with an In Your Face attitude. Compromise is a dirty word and working together is a no no. Names are called, mud is slung, and ostracization is standard fare.

lol this is why I am an independent.

Honestly some of the questions on any given day would change it would be a coin toss.

Proof is I retook the test a few minutes later and got different results.

Well, I've always said that I was a hodgepodge of ideals.

Parties you side with...
78%Libertarians

77%Republicans

68%Green Party

60%Socialist

56%Democrats

Least Dem, that's funny, as it was the party of my youth growing up,

Its all BS, No one falls along party lines.

The fact that we even Consider the two party system as real, shows how deep they have shoveled the bull poop to get us to buy into such an illogical system.

It isn't the size of government that counts, it is how you use it that does.

This is the basis of all American idiocy. FACT; A small government can be incompetent.

In fact, the smallest government is a KING

I tested as being in the eighty percent range of agreement with the Libertarians, the Democrats, and the Socialists, with a little green thrown in for good measure. The Republican Party was bottom of my list.

However, since a) I am not American, and b) the entire idea of picking a side, rather than picking a policy, is what has allowed the power of the people to collapse in the face of the lies which divide them, the entire thing is a little moot for me!

It does not matter where one is on the planet, or what party one has been duped into pinning ones false hopes onto. What matters is that things are done, and done right, not which party happens to be doing them.

Huh, how about that, I ended up with the Libertarians. Who would of guessed.

The surprising thing to me was I was aligned with democrats on the economy. At least according to this test (still suspicious.)

In all honesty I find the Libertarians a little stiff necked and rule oriented. Where's the anarchist party?

I can't even find an "other response" (or whatever) that remotely fits me for any of these. As noted by others above, the test basically throws you into one of a handful of predetermined categories based on your response to each question. Pigeon-holing, in other words. "Your" answers to the questions read like each party's talking points on the subject, distilled into one banal epithet.

This is a textbook example of how we are manipulated by the illusion of choice. The questions and answers are already chosen for you, and the one is dependent on the philosophical assumptions driving the other to make any sense at all.

There are no real answers to these questions because the questions themselves are founded on erroneous or irrelevant premises.

..and the site said some number in the gazillions of people have used it to select their puppet-candidates and cast their "votes". I guess it's only a good scam if people buy it, eh? God help us.

Looking at the map, it shows almost dead centre for 'Centrist.' Sorta makes sense as extremists and right/left politics/politicians make me puke.

It's funny because on another political poll (The Political Compass), I always come out as further to the left/Libertarian than Nelson Mandela and the Dalai Lama!!
